And that's correct, I have no idea what I'm talking about in regards to Buddhism, our religion classes conviniently teached us about Islam and chrstianity, and almost nothing about Buddhism.

Well let’s see...
My god sent his own son to hell, for a day or two at least.
Mohammed married a kid, but that was normal at the time, right?

My god drowned a bunch of Egyptians and caused hell on earth down there with locust and blood and what have you.
Mohammed killed a bunch of people in various wars and stuff like that.

And while this stuff was going on Buddha was chilling and taking it easy hanging out with his two thousand demigod buddies. And Xenu was flying airliners into volcanoes or whatever.

I'm inclined to say that Buddha wins because he's a calm dude, but since I believe in The Jesus I have to say him. I mean, walking on water can be pretty useful eh? :D

Edit: Slight derail (ok, total derail), but coming from the somethingawful.com forums where catchpharses die quicker than the rate of lawsuits from Jack Thompson, it's weird seeing the Chuck Norris thing going on here...
Edit2: And sorry if this came of as a "lol islam sucks hurrr" post, I'm not trying to troll or anything.

Mine:
There is a mission in Ace Combat 5 where you are supposed to escape from the enemy, "8492".
Let me quote some FAQ:
quote:
Now, if you're good, I mean really good, talking 'Ace of Aces' good, or just
plain crazy, you CAN take on the 8492nd. It IS possible, given enough skill
and luck to take them out, and if you manage to shoot down enough of them
(I think 12. I'm not sure. So far, I've only attempted this plan once. I was
in the X-02 and I STILL had trouble taking them on), the mission will end
successfully, but I don't reccomend it. Better to just run...
Well, I killed them with an A-10, and if you know planes, you know that the A-10 is not a dog fighter, I have never ever been so much on the edge of my seat...

Now you go!

I would like to redirect you all to the rather touching piece of writing by one of the SomethingAwful.com aministrators.

http://www.somethingawful.com/

quote:
The heroes are the men and women on the scene doing their utmost to help those in need. Coast Guard rescue workers plucking people to safety and Red Cross workers feeding people from emergency kitchens are heroes. The man who commandeered a bus and got people out of New Orleans when the government was woefully impotent is a hero. The woman who smashed the glass on a convenience store to loot bottled water for fifteen kids who should have been absolutely inundated with supplies by then is a hero. The doctors and nurses hand-bagging ventilator patients 24 hours a day in dark hospitals are heroes.
This man speaks the truth.

Well of course Something Awful's central servers had to lie right in the middle of New Orleans... Luckily they are on the ninth floor, so the data is preserved.

Now THAT'S empathy.

On a more serious note, sorry this had to happen to you guys, my condolences, and I truly hope that at least some of that beautiful city New Orleans is preserved, and that he estimated death rate is wrong.

I really can't see whats so much better about keyhole, but I can play WoW and use WW at the same time without any trouble.

And I'm not completely sure I understand what you mean Sprung Spring, the application is completely free to download and use...

Oh, and the picture of my hometown is as good as it gets in most areas, but the US has the US Urban Area Ortho database which works for many of the major cities (but not all, New York and Miami is not in for example) and another database with detailed black and white imagery for the whole country.

So, has any of the great members of my time disappeared while I've been gone? Can't promise I'll stay long though, since the maintenance on the Something Awful forums will be over soon. :P

Well you see my dear popstar, many people here like to discuss, argue, fight, rape pillage destroy (not), and I actually care a whole deal about astronomy. Just because you find it boring, doesn't mean everyone find it boring, see? ;)

EDIT: Forgot what I really was going to say;

I've actually heard some extremely experienced astrophysicians and such call our solar system an 8-planet system, and it seems to me some of those people despise Pluto, weird...

Yes, wise words Alo, but it is actually the same volcano which erupts "every time", although it might be billions or zillions of years in between. It was a good year since I saw that program, so my memmory ain't too fresh.

My cousin got scared out of his pants when I told him about "supervolcanoes" which errupt every 2 millionth year or something like that, and its about 2 million years since last time one errupted. Apparently these volcanoes are so freaking powerful they will exterminate all life on earth, kind of like a meteor would (black skies etc.).
I saw that on Discovery, so I'm a little relieved now...

IRT Car wreck: I would ask X, and then shoot X if X wanted it.

IRT Pact: Regardless of who shot who, theres still the other gun left, so there is no problem killing yourself afterwards, but since I'm not into pacts and all that very much I'm not really sure what to answer.
