Wait! I noticed I can make one complaint about that list, if you will indeed start using it. It doesn't show ranks. I mean people will want to see what number they are in terms of new posts, and they would have to count to their one by one. It's.. inconvenient.

Finally I can wield my rune pick. Now I can get 28 coal! :) And 20 in stealing, whee. I also got a clue scroll! Am not sure what to do with it, yet.

Also, I'll probably be on today some more. I'm in Ardougne, if I remember correctly. East side. Err. Count 3, 4 hours from here and around then I think I'll be on. I was thinking of doing some quests, or maybe just, you know, do some mining.

EDIT: I already checked out the treasure trails page on rune.tips, straight after getting it. I meant I'm unsure about what to do with it, as in when should I start going about it.
If I remember correctly, I'm supposed to go to this NPC named Lowe in Varrock, who deals with fletchery...

I was going to complain about the text being small, but then I figured it's just this damn browser. Silly Firefox messes up fonts. Then I thought that those posts will be rather long, but I figured it didn't really matter either.

So.. why are those with the same amount of posts ordered by their post count? Wasn't that done on some other way before?

Booya! #13, I beat him! *cheers* ^^ Also the highest I've ever gotten -- I'm pretty sure about that. The 'post something at least once every day' trick worked, although I didn't post something *every* day. But on some days I posted more than once. Yay! I can post! :P

Indeed, being member is just way too much fun. I really need to read the tip.it site, especially on those new skills. I tried farming today.. ugh. Boring, and I only got 5 potatoes. Perhaps if I'd paid more attention, things could've gone easier (I didn't have any compost to use, and same goes for the gardener chick), but still. Got till 2 on that. 10 in thieving (I keep getting stunned by the ladies :P ), 7 in agility, and the rest are still 1.

I kind of wish I hadn't done this right now, because.. well, I *should* be looking for an actual job, or.. you know, write the NaNovel, or .. well, that's it. Just those two.

On second thought, I can take it! Bring it on, ya all!

I'm only 8000 words behind! I CAN catch up! I can! :(

No, really, I honestly can. I just need to go to my own computer and suffer. For days, and weeks, until I've caught up again...

By the way, fletching? Fun. :P Pickpocketing stalls? Cant wait. ^^

I just paid them money. Am now member. :\

On the plus side, the pickpocketing skill is actually kinda fun. I'm a-gonna go try fletching now.

Oh. You know, when I first played this game and finished the tutorial, and ended up in Lumbridge.. I stood there, exactly there where I landed doing nothing. I didn't know what to do. I could think of anything to do! I almost felt the same when I went over the member side of the world. I left all my equipment in bank, too, just in case. It's not so bad, actually.
Some people were typing rather well. No beggers at my heels, but then again there's people that are over 100 levels, so.. I'm still just 40.

But I only gave them enough money for a month. :\

I'm pretty sure I joined before Misc. got .. killed. More or less. But I can't be sure because I never looked. I didn't come into General until like.. after months. Or weeks. I forget. I only read the gaming forums back then. :\ I'm kinda angry about that, but oh well.

Messed up download? Try getting them again, or opening them and then copy/pasting their content in a corresponding file in the Data folder. And remember to copy the original somewhere safe, just in a case. I think that helped when there were trouble with the script editors over in GF3.

Ooh! Ooh! I want green everything! I love green! ^^

But I can't come online today, I think. Or tomorrow.. I'm trying to get ahead on my NaNovel, because I won't be able to write at all on weekend. I only need 1000 more words to reach today's goal, ut I was also planning to watch a couple of movies. So.

But I still want green everything! Green is the best color ever. :P

^ They work no matter whether PC is Mac. Anyway, editors are the only ones for GF (IIRC), and they honestly shouldn't be too much trouble to use.

Originally written by Synergy67:

Riibu, you are quoting Ecclesiastes. So you would say that this poetic writing (possibly or possibly not by Solomon) is a viewpoint offered by God, rather than stating man’s view of himself “under the sun” apart from any inkling of his spiritual nature or the existence of God. The voice in Ecclesiastes over and over says, “All is vanity!” So, is all of life vanity? Is it better as the author suggests, that we had never been born at all, than to be born and suffer? Look at the book and its “wisdom.” It greatly contradicts truths we know about the nature of God and man and our purpose in being. It’s downright bleak and depressing. It’s a great piece of prose making its point from an intended perspective, however.

This is what I mean when I say we have to look at the inspiration of scriptures from a contextual point of view and from one of spiritual understanding. I have no problem believing that there is Divine Inspiration underlying any or all of the books we have in the Bible. If so, Ecclesiastes was divinely inspired to tell us a lie from the point of view of godless man, that all is vanity and men are no better than beasts who also live and go to their end in the grave. It makes a point, if we can be wise enough to rightly divide it, what voice speaks it to us, and for what purpose it is speaking. It is plainly not the voice of God speaking to us to instruct us. Yet that is exactly what the Divine Word of God theory of scripture would have us believe everything in the Bible must be.

Ec 3:19 For the fate of the sons of men and the fate of beasts is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. They all have the same breath, and man has no advantage over the beasts; for all is vanity.

Ecclesiastes describes two different sorts of life. Do try to check them all out, :\

In this book Solomon sought to congregate God’s people away from the vain and fruitless works of this world to the works worthy of the God to whom they as a nation were dedicated.
A vivid description of works that are vain and those that are worth while. God is still present, no matter what.

Life devoted to vain pursuits is empty:
(1:1-11), (1:12-18), (2:1-11, 26), (2:12-16), (2:17-23), (3:1-9), (3:18-22), (4:1-3), (4:4-8), (4:13-16), (5:9-17), (6:1-12), (9:2, 3), (9:13-18), (10:1-19), (11:10), (12:8)

Things that are worthwhile and give meaning to one's life:
(2:24, 25; 5:18-20), (3:10-13), (3:14-17; 5:8), (4:9-12), (5:1-7), (7:1-15), (7:16-29), (8:1-17; 10:20), (9:1, 4-12), (11:1-8), (11:9; 12:1-7), (12:9-12), (12:13, 14)

Maybe it's just too easy, and too competitive so it attracts all the dickheads (I'll keep using that as long as I can! Mwahaha!), unlike other FIORPGs which can have players actually.. roleplaying.

... And Kingdom of Loathing beats all others! *then cries because she kinda misses Equinox*

And people who've tried and don't play complain about the repetitiveness, the players and possibly the not-so-prettiful interface. And so what? You can't please everyone. Let them compain to their heart's content, while we have fun.

E: I prefer calling them dickheads, personally. ^^

There's more than enough different editors for both games. Some good, some incredibly overdone, but somehow I feel you won't mind that. Just look at the links in the top of the forums of those games. The second one may not have linked the editors, but then you should do a search in GF2 forums for an editor. You'll find what you want.
