My friend and I went to see LXG together, and we decided afterwards that we would figure out which books each of the six League members and the villain were from and read them all by next summer. I was one-up on him, because I'd already read "The Picture of Dorian Gray," but I'll still have to read "Dracula," "The Invisible Man," "King Solomon's Mines," "Tom Sawyer" (I think I read that once, but I'm not sure,) "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" and whichever Sherlock Holmes books Moriarty is in.

Anyone read any of those? Comments?

I think Alorael is especially touchy about illegal impersonation, as he's had firsthand experience. *remembers the SMoE debacle* Speaking as somewhat of an impartial observer, it was rather amusing to try to tell which one was the real Alorael by the level of dry wit and the number of dashes in the sig.

Yeah, you're right. But it seems easier to just have fewer letters, and we Americans are lazy asses. IMAGE(Spiderweb Software Boards To all European football fans_files/smile.gif)

Well, anyone here can tell you that I'm never one to argue when it comes to complaining about America, and I agree that "football" is kind of a weird name for it, but I have yet to understand why Brits pronounce it "leftenant" instead of "lieutenant." Over here in the Yee-haw USA, we just pronounce it the way it's spelled.

And then there's the practice of adding extraneous U's to stuff. "Colour," "favourite," et cetera. Fewer letters means fewer typos...just something to ponder...

Ugh, that was another one of my assigned summer reading books...it wasn't as mind-crushingly boring as "Guns, Germs and Steel," but it's not exactly on my list of favorites. What did you think of it?

I'm reading several things, because school starts in a week and I'm not even halfway through my required reading. Currently, my two top priorities are "Guns, Germs and Steel" by Jared Diamond and "A Tale of Two Cities" by Dickens.

Hey, Rosy's back! *waves*

Hmm. I couldn't read the boards when I was banned, but the message that popped up told me that I'd been banned, not that there was a server error.

*blink* Someone actually read it? *blinks again* There's more Exile fanfic on fanfiction.net?

On another note, I turned up one really godawful story involving Rentar-Ihrno and some guy who's apparently her father, Gaddika-Bok. Who was Gaddika in the original game? I know I heard the name somewhere...

Incidentally, I also found some Rentar fanart. For some reason, she has long, flowing hair. *snicker*

Was the fic you found entitled "Secrets, Slayings and Slashiness?" It's the only Exile fanfic I've ever bothered to write.

I wrote an Exile fanfic once. However, I don't think Jeff likes the idea of people writing Exile fanfic. *shrugs* It's supposed to be a parody, of sorts. It doesn't have a whole lot to do with Exile.

The only Exile fanart I've ever seen is that picture Brett Bixler drew of Erika, the one that says "Blades of Exile" across it.

Really, OM. You complain about people making fun of you, but your sig is just fuel on the fire.

The way I see it, nobody has friends on a message board. Friends are people whom you know personally, whom you have seen in person--people you can be sure aren't actually pedophiles living in their mothers' basements somewhere in Oklahoma. You can have "friendly online acquaintances" on message boards. But not if you keep begging for them and advertising them in your sig (and spelling their names wrong at that.) [/reasonably friendly advice please don't hurt me Drakey]

ADoS, I don't even have AIM anymore. And even if I did, I probably wouldn't unblock you. It's not holding a grudge, it's just not wanting to talk to people.

Yes, but one of them would accidentally kick another one in the head, and then they'd get so caught up in kicking each other and screaming "Feisty Slap of Pain!" that they'd forget all about the contest.
