I used to call myself on the net by a variety of lame, 'cool' sounding names like "Shadow" and "Unknown". By 2000, I felt that I needed a more-or-less permanent moniker, and my friends were calling me "Wise Man" for my now-lost FPS skill (and the ability to piss them off :D ), so the name stuck.

If you open all the links in it's own window, the large ad to the right won't appear. The rest of the ads can be blocked by the Google Toolbar's popup blocker. By the way, don't you check your hotmail account?

Not anymore, I get too much spam on it.

I don't really care. No matter what I do, something bad just HAS to happen to me. There was that time when some lady almost fell into the subway track, and then I pulled her back, and instead of thanking me for saving her friggin life she slapped me for "harassing" her.

I'm pretty sure it's for smart people, or at least patient people. Which is probably why I could never stand DnD.

We're not talking about whether or not a game is just 'good'. It's more about a game that caused a radical change in gaming, or a very new idea. Doom is a game that we still remember, 12 years after it was made. I'm sure Halo is good to some (personally, I can't stand 3d shooters that aren't on PC - specifically, the controller just doesn't provide the versatility of keyboard and mouse), but I'm very sure that they didn't redefine shooters in general, or even FPS.

Yea, but Doom and Wolf 3d started the whole FPS genre.

EDIT: and Doom was loads of fun when I was young.

Stupid useless books cost 300 dollars sometimes.

UT comp sci is $7500 CAD a year. Even then, it's cheaper than all the commerce programs in Ontario. So yes, 4.5k is dirt cheap.

Oh yes, and residence + tuition + texts = 5 digits, no matter how cheap the tuition may be.
