What are your pet peeves? You know, things you can't stand, that drive you crazy, etc.? Please, only list things from Real Life (RL), NOT internet-related stupidity. Some of mine: - eggcrate. I can't stand to touch that cardboard-maché that egg cartons are made of. Makes me cringe. - aspic. If you don't know what it is, keep it that way. Most horrendous substance ever conceived by man. - cell phones with invisible headphones. It used to be that only genuinely demented persons would walk down the street, gesticulating wildly and blabbing at high volumes. Now, with those small button headphones, the streets are filled with raving lunatics, describing their every move with maximum verbosity. -------------------- ... I believe SC in this instance was referring to Starcraft- that's the most common acronym you'd hear for it around these here parts. -------------------- We're all amazed but not amused By all the things that you said you'd do. - People who go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on... - People who can't answer yes or no questions with a simple "yes" or "no", but instead feel the need to give me a ten minute speech on the subject, semi-related subjects, and what the cat ate for breakfast. - People who have lots of information available to them, and yet have no means of processing it, but don't know this. - Backstabbers of any kind. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. Hypocrite literally means actor. It's a little more complicated than that, but that's the centre of it. Try shouting that at mimes. It's a compliment. I remember I used to tell people it meant 'rule of the horses.' I think if you listen to rap you want rhythm, not a tune... and it's not all bad, just most. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. + People who smoke and then blow or cough in my face. + Styrofoam. No, this one doesn't really make sense, but I hate the stuff. + People like me. Really, if I weren't me, I think I'd strangle myself and call it a service to humanity. + People who can't even acknowledge that they're doing anything wrong (or irritating), let alone try to fix the problem. —Alorael, who supposes this last one doesn't count. It's not really a pet peeve, since it bothers just about everyone. It even bothers the perpetrator of the wrong or irritating act when everyone reacts to it.
