Nice work, premonition! That was surely an almost off-topic post! So lets continue down this honourable path. Why is Australia Day celebrated?

As prem told me, Australia Day is like Independence Day without the war.

Listening to the microwave, and the popcorn inside of the microwave. While we're off-topic, has anyone seen Seabiscuit?

I haven't downloaded Kaza so I do not listen to any music at the time. But Marilyn Manson is a smart guy.

:D Australia Day is a celebration of, well, Australia and all things Australian. It's held on the anniversary of the foundation of the colony of New South Wales, 1788 (or rather, the official instatement of its first Governor). Basically it's the only real celebration we have (seeing as our State govt refuses to give us fireworks on New Year's).

I haven't seen Seabiscuit. Any good?

Currently listening to Mahler's Symphony No. 2 in C minor ('Resurrection').

Lady with the spinning head, by U2.

I haven't seen Seabiscuit, but since it features Tobey Maguire and a horse, I seriously doubt it's any good.

Why do horses always have to suffer from stupid names, BTW? Why not, say, cowes?

I have no great admiration for Drakey's musical tastes, but as he's a fine chap otherwise, I allow it to slide. ;)

And I'm currently listening to "Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy)," by John Lennon.

Listening to nothing.

I agree with Stughalf on the musical tastes and stuff... =]

I was asking about Seabiscuit because part of it is filmed in my town, for the very good reason that part of it is set in my town. I just watched it today and it's pretty good, Tumbleweed... I mean, it's got Tobey in it, yes, but the horse isn't bad. Also, about cows... I don't know, I guess that's a metter of personal preference. Would you rather be named Cat's Lucky Seven and have 'Beauty', 'Babe', etc. as nicknames? Or would you rather something like Bluebell or Buttercup, with nicknames like 'Hamburger' and 'Fatass'?

I really don't care what is legal and illeagal. Going to the bathroom is probably Illegal. See when it comes to laws I have a theory of the Golden laws. Whoever has the Gold makes the laws. Look trafficing in Drugs from Columbia is Illegal, but there are people who do that and do not get caught.Which is because some Politician is getting a Envelope with his name on it. Now some random person with no power and a medium salary Down loads a song on Kazza and he gets put in Jail. Wow, isn't that fair. And why was Downloading songs on Kazza made illegal? because the CD companys where loosing alot of money to the Internet. So to save there Enterprise they made Downloading songs off the Internet Illegal. Talk about abussing power. But Embezzling millions of Dollars on WallStreet is okay. And tell me, How many of the Judges who made Downloading songs illegal do you think follow that law. I'm sure whoever passed that law Downloads all the music he/she wants. And you know what if I said to a judge who was illegally downloading songs off the internet it is against the law. I know what he would say, "What are you going to do. Arrest a judge". Now I think milasing a child is one of the worst crimes that could ever be commited. But Micheal Jackson is a known pediphile and for years he got away frome it. But why. Because he's a millionair. So if one man milists a child and another downloads a song, and the man who downloads a song is caughtthe man who milasted the child goes free. And the reason is because the pidiphile has money and the guy who downloaded a song did not. Then I say, that is not a Justice system. That is corruption and imoral, and it only follows the law of Gold. So I say, The Hell with the justice system and the law of Gold which it is based by. I'm just going to live by what I think is moral, not what some perveted millionair and a powerhungry president thinks is moral. So in short I don't care if it is illegal. I am actually going to download songs on Kazza to make a political statement. Like the author of Waldo, I forgot his name, but I think it was Waldo. That would make sence. He wouldn't pay his taxes and was put in Jail for not paying his taxes. All to make a statement. Well I'm going to be like Waldo, I'm going to make a political statement by braking the law.

Let's just end the controversy at that. I don't want one of the best topics on SpidWeb being locked. On a related note though, I never bought any of the music I'm listening to right now. I always get it in the library and burn it. Not illegal (I think) and free at the same time.

I'm listening to all of the horrible songs I made.
Oh, and I use Kazaa, and I find that it is slow and a waste of time.

I'm quite sure that this system of obtaining music is illegal as well, just far less common than simple downloading. A large portion of my music has been obtained illegally, too, through a combination of P2P programs and online file directories.

Currently, I'm listening to the sound of my roommate and his girlfriend making out a couple feet away from me.

I hate college. :P

Hm. Am I the only one here who actually buys the music I like?

Listening to Falla, Love the Magician: Ritual Fire Dance, Orchestra of the Swiss Romande. Which is not bought. Just the radio.
