Regarding Pearlblossom, I thought I found a clue once: Manius Volta, the merchant in Vanarium, brags about how he managed to steal something from Castle Aethedoc. When I first saw this, I immediately through of Pearlblossom, but I couldn't make any further progress with it. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: More fun than a kick in the shins! Ohh, the puzzle box. That reminds me, just what did the puzzle box do? I found it, but never saw any reference to it again. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: More fun than a kick in the shins! Posts: 567 | Registered: Friday, October 5 2001 07:00 |

The story is more or less the same, but gameplay is significantly different, and many people, myself included, prefer Exile's setup to Avernum's. I suggest you check out one of the demos and see if you agree. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: More fun than a kick in the shins! Posts: 567 | Registered: Friday, October 5 2001 07:00 |

*sigh* Bring pants to Rentar-Ihrno's fortress. In the southwest corner of the upper level are two runes. Put the pants on one, and step on the other. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: More fun than a kick in the shins! Posts: 567 | Registered: Friday, October 5 2001 07:00 |

TM misspoke. Once you have the key, you want to go to the northwesternmost room. The door the key opens should be visible from the hall. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: More fun than a kick in the shins! Posts: 567 | Registered: Friday, October 5 2001 07:00 |

If you imagine someone a million times smarter than you and a good deal sexier, FBM, you might get sort of vaguely close to an idea of how Thuryl stands in relation to you. If you try to mock him, you can just hope he's apathetic enough to ignore you. Posts: 567 | Registered: Friday, October 5 2001 07:00 |

If all you want from the drayk is his crystal, you can talk him into giving it up if you have enough Leadership (I think I had about 6 when I did it). It saves you the trouble of fighting. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: More fun than a kick in the shins! Posts: 567 | Registered: Friday, October 5 2001 07:00 |

Also, if you've found any of the legendary artifacts, a bug in the game makes it possible to sell them to Levy and then get money for buying them back. As a bonus, you also get multiple Fury Crossbows and Black Halberds and so forth for your party :) -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: More fun than a kick in the shins! I played Nethergate with a singleton once. It was a very long time ago, but I'm pretty sure I did it as a Celt. After the first couple of chapters I pretty much cruised. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: More fun than a kick in the shins! Posts: 567 | Registered: Friday, October 5 2001 07:00 |

I think you must be confusing Sulfras (the live dragon you rescued and who unleashed quickfire on the fort she was in) with Pyrog (who's dead and lives somewhere else). -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: More fun than a kick in the shins! I'm from the big city. Growing up I never thought state fairs happened anymore, but died out at some vague point in the past and lived on only in nostalgic TV shows. It's kind of hard for me imagine them taking place in 2004, but then again, I don't have much of an imagination. Posts: 567 | Registered: Friday, October 5 2001 07:00 |

I know that a character in Pollux alludes to Lazarus being in Castle Relaford, but that alone would make a pretty unhelpful hint. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: More fun than a kick in the shins! Posts: 567 | Registered: Friday, October 5 2001 07:00 |
