You can't steal it. To do so means INSTA-DEATH. I suppose if you hacked into the game or something, you could hypothetically get it, but it's really not worth the effort. you could try... summoning a monster to the room next to him, then attacking the monster so it turns hostile then let it fight with him. If he's dead he won't care if you take his necklace. Or do it in a corner of the room so that if he wants to fight it he has to get off his chair, but it won't work if he can't move due to his programming. I also am unsure if attacking a friendly summoned monster will turn the rest of the town hostile on you or not. Guess you never know till you try. BTW if you can get him off his chair then you can create fire barriers between you and him so he can't see you steal it. Attacking a friendly summoned monster will make the town hostile, and thus make you dead. Sorry. Creating a fire barrier on the desk itself and standing across the desk from Naxy while stealing the necklace just might work, though. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! I think it's just a silver necklace. Probably not worth anything of value but fun to piss Anaximander off. -------------------- And everybody say....Yatta! Posts: 1287 | Registered: Thursday, August 14 2003 07:00 |

I maxed the item lore and close to all intelligence on a 6 player party, to see what it was. It wasn't identified. Posts: 1233 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

You could try killing Anaximander with Protective Circle, and then taking the necklace. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: More fun than a kick in the shins! Posts: 567 | Registered: Friday, October 5 2001 07:00 |

Protective Circle works- As putting barriers around him and then quickfireing(Not a word) him. The necklace by the way is a silver ankh(protects against undead) -------------------- "Let's just say that if complete and utter chaos was lightning, he'd be the sort to stand on a hilltop in a thunderstorm wearing wet copper armour and shouting 'All gods are false'." You could also try to make a blade wall but don't but the target on him just make sure a blade walll kills him. Posts: 23 | Registered: Sunday, July 25 2004 07:00 |

That would not work, blade wall turns the town hostile. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: More fun than a kick in the shins! Posts: 567 | Registered: Friday, October 5 2001 07:00 |

Protective Circle doesn't harm things the moment it is cast, so that is the best way to go. Quickfire would be a little extreme, but still possible. I doubt the Fire Barrier thing would work because the game calculates from whether a person can see THE ITEM, not you. I'm pretty sure whatever is directly in a barrier is still considered seen. -------------------- Thuryl: I mean, most of us don't go around consuming our own bodily fluids, no matter how delicious they are. ==== Alorael: War and violence would end if we all had each other's babies! ==== Drakefyre: Those are hideous mangos. Hmmmm, I've always wondered how anybody kills Erika, also. Whenever you attack her on her throne, you die instantly. Or do you have to kill her when she appears later in the game? I hate it when towns do that. Off topic, but... Take the amulet she gives you (the special item) that is supposed to help later in the game, but fortunately it also protects you from her magic. then you can slaughter her if you're strong enough to take on 4 doomguards that multiply Posts: 60 | Registered: Sunday, September 19 2004 07:00 |

What i did to kill Erika and not have to fight the doomguards was to cast bladewall on her but not put the target on her. She won't turn hostile if you dont damage her while still in combat mode. Cast blade wall, get out of combat mode, then let here get damaged, save the game just in case she turns hostile and just repeat the process until she's dead. The easy way to kill Erika is as follows: cast Protective Circle so the blade wall hits one of her doomguards, and then run and hide in another room. The doomguard will split, and whenever a doomguard splits the new one is always hostile, even if the original is friendly. The new doomguard will fight the old one, but as they damage each other the room will fill with hostile doomguards. Once they finish off the one friendly doomguard they'll swarm Erika, who will waste most of her time on spells like Firestorm and Divine Thud that do nothing, or summoning monsters that do more harm than good. It'll take awhile, because Erika will heal herself a lot, but eventually she runs out of SP and the doomguards will bring her down. It's boring, but it's also pretty foolproof. Or, alternatively, you can get the protective amulets from the Bunker in New Cotra, and just fight her. Note that her doomguards do not move- if you don't attack them or go near them, they won't bother you at all. Makes the fight worlds easier. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: More fun than a kick in the shins! Posts: 567 | Registered: Friday, October 5 2001 07:00 |

or you could cast fire barriers around the doomguards so they can't reach you or see you and then you kill Erika Posts: 10 | Registered: Thursday, October 7 2004 07:00 |

No, you misunderstood me. The doomguards don't move, so you don't need barriers or anything. You just need to not attack them. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: More fun than a kick in the shins! Posts: 567 | Registered: Friday, October 5 2001 07:00 |
