There was an early BoE scenario called "The Wreck of the Slug". It was pretty much as you describe; large, many quests, no overarching plot. While this scenario was well-received at the time it was originally released, it's not very popular among modern players. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! No, it's quite some distance beyond the end of the demo. EDIT: Well, damn. Um, I'm trying to think of something further to say so that my post isn't made useless by the one above it, but I'm drawing a blank. Sorry. I'll be spending most of tomorrow slaving over a hot microtome, so if I make it to the chat at all I'll probably be late. Please accept my apologies. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Hmm. Try transferring the file to a DOS-formatted floppy instead of a Mac-formatted one? -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Yeah, it has to have just .cmg as the extension. The Finder will probably complain if you try to remove the .rsrc extension, but ignore it and do so anyway. quote:I took her post to imply that she'd tried using several different sheet numbers. I also have to wonder how you expect longer prison sentences for drug offences to actually help anyone with a drug problem, since a jail is about the easiest place in the world to get your hands on illegal drugs. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! And BoA certainly didn't "eliminate" your old save files -- it just doesn't do that. If you remember what the files were called, search for them by name on your hard disk. Unless you've deleted them yourself (or someone else using your computer has done so), they'll still be where you originally saved them. (Possibly in My Documents or somewhere.) -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Now that you mention it, there might be a maximum file size on images. Try to reduce it as best you can, I suppose. One way to reduce file size is to reduce the colour depth to 8-bit. This will give you a very significant improvement in file size, but may make the colours look a little funny. Try it and see how it works. Don't worry too much if the image ends up big, though. It'll compress down fairly well, so it certainly won't add 530 kB to the actual download size of the scenario. Outdoors, you can use potions to haste yourself before combat. This may be a bug, but I don't care. And if you're attacked by surprise, well, that's what reloading is for. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

Or just have a reasonably talented mage cast Haste on everyone twice, and they'll be faster than anything they're likely to run into anyway. :P [ Monday, January 09, 2006 14:31: Message edited by: Thuryl ] -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure!
