I wonder if I'm somehow a strange combination of both noob and elitist then. Crazy. What're these other forums mentioned anyways? I'm not really "in the loop" so to speak, to know about the branch outs from here. -------------------- ni~pah Posts: 28 | Registered: Friday, April 27 2007 07:00 |

A lot of things, wealth aside, could be used "a lot better" so to speak. For example, we could be using those sweatshops more efficiently by forcing them to work longer hours with less pay. We could also lower the average age of workers from 16 to possibly 12. Also, we could eat our young as well, as per A Modest Proposal by Jonathan Swift. It would minimize food costs and population issues in one fell swoop. [WARNING: This post may or may not contain satirical and/or sarcastic remarks.] Anyways, seriously though, there's a lot of waste cash allocated to various means primarily due to personal greed. It is mostly a matter of charity and compassion which for the most part falls drastically the higher up one goes. Even with figures who donate millions of dollars at a time to charities for whatever reason, you have to consider a million dollars out of Bill Gates pocket is equivalent to probably about ten cents to us on more normal wages. It isn't just America either, Africa is a struggling country with many people from many countries giving it what support it can, yet there are plenty of African warlords who simply sit on their assets with an iron fist and possibly golden AK-47s. Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm just released, and that's been an enjoyable experience so far. I'm looking forward to Persona 3 as well, as the SMT games have never really disappointed me before. -------------------- ni~pah Posts: 28 | Registered: Friday, April 27 2007 07:00 |

I reccomend Odin Sphere, which I am playing currently. It's a great game if you're more into action RPGs and lush 2d graphics. I also would reccomend Ar Tonelico, but you'd all probably hate it. -------------------- ni~pah Posts: 28 | Registered: Friday, April 27 2007 07:00 |

Of all the RPGs I've played, I'd have to say I do actually have a preference for more action-inclined RPGs than the standard turn based-type games. I do however have a fondness for tactical RPGs as well, Battletech, Super Robot Wars, Ogre Battle/FFT and what have you. Although it doesn't have to be fast paced action nor tactical for me to enjoy it. I still enjoy Ar Tonelico despite it's extremely abuseable systems and abysmally low difficulty curve. -------------------- ni~pah Posts: 28 | Registered: Friday, April 27 2007 07:00 |

??? And on a side note, I probably should actually try some of the games here sometime. I've heard a lot of good things about them. As for my relationship with Imban, well.... *blushes* It's something I shouldn't talk about in public. -------------------- ni~pah Posts: 28 | Registered: Friday, April 27 2007 07:00 |

Since I am always cleaning up after Imban, I don't have much time to actually play games, so I have not actually played any of the Spiderweb Software games. ^^;; [ Sunday, May 13, 2007 10:58: Message edited by: Imban's Cat-Eared Maid ] -------------------- ni~pah Posts: 28 | Registered: Friday, April 27 2007 07:00 |

Imban and I tend to play a good handful of games against each other. Here's some videos of them. First match. Second match. Third match. Fourth match. The game in question is called Acceleration of Suguri X-Edition, and as you can see it's a fairly fast paced fighting/shooter game. Maybe I'll see about uploading some Higurashi Daybreak replays next. -------------------- ni~pah Posts: 28 | Registered: Friday, April 27 2007 07:00 |

Mmm, a lot of interesting responses here, certainly a lot of them inspiring feelins of nostalgia. Shooters aren't my main thing, that's for sure. One can only dodge bullets for so long before one's head begins reaching critical mass. I tend to enjoy RTSes a lot as well, but I am not one to avoid a good UT2k4 match as well. Lately, C&C3 has been taking up a lot of my time. -------------------- ni~pah Posts: 28 | Registered: Friday, April 27 2007 07:00 |

Actually, since this a fairly entertaining exercise, I'd like to try it with another community I keep in contact with. If you're fine with it, Degei, may I get a blank (Or enlarged and blank, if that's what you're using) card from you please? It's a shame that I'm too new to pip up on this, although I have been "around" for a couple of years now in theory. -------------------- ni~pah Posts: 28 | Registered: Friday, April 27 2007 07:00 |
