Nah... These forums will last as long as Spiderweb Software does. I mean, who in their right mind would want to eliminate UBB? Why RW games and not Subterra; as said previously, there's barely any activity what so ever on that board. On the other hand, this board has an occasional topic or two. -------------------- WWJD? To the speculation of Richard White's existence. To the forum housing the most innovative polls. To an outlet of insanity. To Galactic Core, and ingenious strategy game that never got discovered. Goodbye RW forum. :( -------------------- WWJD? Posts: 1384 | Registered: Tuesday, February 6 2007 08:00 |

I recently installed the Avernum trilogy on my newer mac, and when attempting to play it I encountered this problem: Clicking on "load game" doesn't do anything, neither does command-O. I tried to open a saved games file from the finder, but that didn't work either. It might be helpful to know that the A1 icon doesn't show next to the file name, just the standard application icon. This certain computer is an Imac running on Mac OS 9.2.2 -------------------- WWJD? Posts: 1384 | Registered: Tuesday, February 6 2007 08:00 |

I'm quite curious as to the number of people who still play the same old games as I do on occasion. I didn't include Exile due to the fact this forum revolves around Spidweb games. Feel free to post any others. [ Friday, June 01, 2007 17:07: Message edited by: Excalibur ] Poll Information This poll contains 1 question(s). 6 user(s) have voted. No, I didn't create that article. I was insulted because I use that article in a lot of debates concerning the government, and it isn't as credible if it claims to be "weasel worded." -------------------- WWJD? Posts: 1384 | Registered: Tuesday, February 6 2007 08:00 |

Spidweb games are awesome. Too many RPGs offer hours of pointlessly hacking at whatever comes your way. Spidweb games, on the other hand, involve plots in a huge world. Their graphics aren't state of the ark, but they're quite unique. There's also a substantial variety of quests, monsters, items, skills, etc. The games actually function on my computer; every computer I've had has been a hand-me-down from my father, in this case and Imac running on OS 9.2. -------------------- WWJD? Giving non-existent sources is rather suspicious, however, it's difficult to write a book centering on one subject while lacking information on it. As for quality of the material, it's more or less personal taste. I've read one book on Napoleon (Napoleon and his Men). It consumed a lot of time, as the book is over a century old, but it's an excellent source of history. It's written like a novel, instead of bombarding you with a plethora of facts.
