I think if you phrase it as Mort, it makes you the personification of death as opposed to, uh, you being dead. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Mm, Kelandon? I looked through it and have to congratulate you on a job well done - and an ambitious project, with the library. Have to mention, though, that I thought the scenario was called "The Cave of No Return", not "A Cave of No Return", though... Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

That, uh, drops their items on the ground, which is typically a bad thing. Plus, it'd seem real tacky. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Even if I don't agree with all of it, yes, it is very relevant here. (The parts I disagree on are parts 3 and 4 - feeling undercompensated for my time tends to tick me off a lot. While it's easy to make a scenario which doesn't require quest rewards for compensation, SOME compensation's always real nice. And as for 4? As long as they're not the BoA equivalent of 50+10 deathblades (this is advice to you, Micael), I tend to like unique items.) Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

I just looked at the script. Standard operating procedure for me, really. Anyway, "there's this random place that has no reason to exist. Oh, and there are 1095812958105 superitems there!" is a HORRIBLE thing for your scenario. >:E Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

I believe that TM, Khoth, and Eldiran designed perfectly not-ass-ugly terrain without a 3D editor. Pig Catapult - What I meant is that no matter what he does, Undead Valley would still be a scenario about a bunch of super-undead in a valley that were put there by the Vahnatai because the Vahnatai put them there. He can easily stop it with the ridiculous loot that's there because it's there, sure. He could, with effort, make it into a fun scenario, and then people will play it happily. I just don't think the scenario premise lends itself to being a really good scenario (thinking Redemption, Shadow of the Stranger, etc.). A decent, fun one? Maybe. Micael - More comments. Why the hell are the Hidden City Dagger, Shortsword, and Longsword two-handed? Why the hell does the Hidden City exist, anyway? I don't think it has the potential to be a really good scenario at all. I think it has the potential to be a passably decent scenario, but fear it might not turn out to be one. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

*carts off ButteredToast's corpse for disposal* Anyone else want to talk badly about Doom Moon II, likely one of the best scenarios of its kind? Really, Undead Valley is worse than the first Demon Island. :x Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

u sux I'm guessing you're playing VoDT and didn't get either the stone from the Vahnatai or the papers from Pingle. You need them. Get them. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Was searching through your scenario data. Most of your Vahnatai Slings can never work - they're lacking an it_variety and a it_damage_per_level. Same with the Sling of the Hidden City. I don't really think your Hidden City Baton would work right. It's based off the Cursed Javelin and has a -3 level bonus? Hidden City Boots are cursed? Blademaster's Sword doesn't start with a clear; statement, so it imports the data of the Vahnatai Knowledge Brew, which means that it can be used as a +5 skill points potion. If it's A4, it'd be nice if it actually fleshed out some official backstory. Including, like, geography and such. But meh. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |
