Umm... I have basic piano skills, which allowed me to create God Damn Snow (available for listening and download on my Myspace profile - www.myspace.com/zeeqon5 ) and Edam Cheese Expert (one version of which is finished but still needs work and is therefore not released yet), but the latter is incredibly simple and the former was mostly programmed using Cakewalk Home Studio's click-and-drag interface. I own a bass guitar, which I used to create "Life In A Fish Tank" (also available on my Myspace), a non-musical soundscene. It hardly qualifies as playing though. I can play a rainstick fairly well, as evidenced by another non-musical soundscene (once again, available on my Myspace), "Three Internet Geeks Arguing While Driving In The Rain". A scenario I made in which I prepare my parties for other scenarios. That is the inn/tavern. It also has an artifact hall where I store artifacts I pick up during my adventures, a training hall where I get my newly created parties up to the level I want them at, equipment chests, a library that currently serves only to contain someone to identify and buy my items, and a park. Nethergate is a windowed game as well. More specifically, the Canned title refers to the Can of Spam avatar (back when we had avatars here) given to spammers. If you misbehave and spam too much (as you have been doing), you get the Canned title, which can only go away through extraordinarily good behavior. Also note that "Canned" is only one letter away from "Banned". I loved FF9, but the endboss was ridiculous. SPOILERS! . . . . . . You finally beat Kuja, the man who has been manipulating people and destroying cities. Suddenly, with literally no previous mention or even hint of his existance whatsoever, you have to fight Necron. Who the hell is Necron? Why did they need a big cliched god of death that just comes out of nowhere? Nobody really knows. Probably not a "major disaster", but it wouldn't be very popular either. First of all, it's impossible to make a scenario that never runs out of quests to do, unless you have the quests repeat themselves. Second, for the majority of BoE players, plot is an important part of the scenario experience. Also, quests are vastly more interesting and enjoyable when they are within the context of and part of a story. Third, it's really difficult to make a large scenario with many different choices for the player to make, especially if you have no previous designing experience and no plot to keep you interested in designing it for an extended period of time. Many people try, but very few succeed. Fourth, there are already several huge, epic scenarios with lots of quests to complete, notably the Spheres trilogy, At The Gallows (probably its sequel, Spears, as well, but I don't know much about it), and (especially) the Adventurer's Club trilogy, and all of them have plotlines. But why don't you try and come up with a plot? It doesn't have to be big and complex. Many popular scenarios are actually quite short and linear. There are several experienced designers and plotwriters here who can help you with pretty much any aspect of scenario design you can think of. There's currently a thread in the BoA forum called "I Want To Crush Your Dreams". Even though it's in the BoA forum, it applies to BoE as well. Might be worth a look. Glad to see a new prospective designer, at any rate. Welcome to the Spiderweb Software forums! Leave your sanity at the door, and don't expect it to be there when you leave. I also recommend BoE. Excellent value, that BoE. Hundreds of scenarios, many of at least decent quality, several of truly excellent quality. Some are full-length epic adventures, while some are short and sweet.
