Slow down and check your spelling. If this keeps up the sword will be the only way to tell you apart.

Jeff dropped most keyboard commands and only recently with A5 started putting them back. Most are still mouse driven for movement and targeting.

Besides with skribbane you don't start glowing and if you remember to wipe the green stain away it's not noticeable. Well just that crazed expression and homicidal tendencies, but that's more common these days.

Yeah this has definitely been a cooler year. We didn't break 90 here in Arizona.

Don't worry Jewelz, it'll soon be warmer and then you can grumble about mud.

Geneforge 5 - April Update in Geneforge 4: Rebellion

Jeff's still going to have to have a separate server for the players that go with the expert option areas as opposed to the basic game. Since those sections of the game allow you to gain the information and parts to build a GF1 type Geneforge you will have a much different game than the ending where you play with only traditional Shaper and canister enhanced Rebels.

Still this will quiet down the players that are demanding a MMORPG.

Doesn't work with the cursed nephil altar that dumbfound the whole party and a few other places. Being prepared with other ways to fight is what works while you remove the dumbfounding.

You're lucky, we didn't have the Internet when I was in high school. We had to use tin cans and string to connect.

Al's interest picked up. The locals were senting a party to Salintu. At least he wouldn't have to cross the desert on his own. Having a guide would save him time and help keep him from getting lost. There weren't any more villages between here and there.

He didn't believe in a demon and some sort of curse. The area had just had some unseasonal weather and they wanted an excuse. Superstitous fools. He just hoped that he could be gone before they decided to blame him when their lot didn't improve.

"I'll go to Salintu," he volunteered. He could earn the gratitude of the locals and maybe some supplies. Too bad the storm had destroyed the tavern. What hadn't been ruined by the storm had been drunk by the villagers. There wasn't anything for him here.

Thanks

Jeff has started a rumor that Geneforge 5 will have windowed mode, but it's still a rumor even if it's from the game designer.

Interested in spiderweb games, where to start? in General

The advantage of playing the games in order is that you won't become frustrated with the earlier and less advanced game engines. Going from Geneforge 3 or 4 to Geneforge 1 gets you mad when spells llike daze are less effective and the number of action points to switch a weapon make combat less effective.

The games are stand alone so you can start anywhere with some past information given to you during the game. Most new players start with recent games and go back later to get the background information.

You know the admins will take all the cool new member numbers for themselves. Aran and Alorael will probably get nice ones too since they have so much on the admins.

It seems like the upgrade may not change that much. Although it would be nice to delete the thousands of bots that have joined recently.

There are potions and I think crystals (at least in the other games) that will unshackle mind to remove dumbfounding. Silverlocke, west of the Castle, will sell you potions later in the game when you have done a lot. Try to avoid mung demons for now and keep some wands handy for spellcasters that are dumbfounded. Also watch for arrows of light that do extra damage versus demons.

Later in the game there are plenty of crystal shields and necklaces. For now equip the fighter closest to the basilisks since they usually go for the closest one.

So Arancaytar is being compared to someone whose parents drowned in a river, gets sent to live with his weird old cousin that everyone tends to think is mad because he keeps telling stories about his adventures, and then disappears at his 111th birthday party leaving him to deal with the guests. Then he gets chased by sniffing horsemen, loses a finger, and almost dies.

Precious.
