That explains the lack of news. The latest news had a large section of computer code, quote:It's somewhat more intersting than some of the posts here. [ Friday, November 17, 2006 04:06: Message edited by: Randomizer ] Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Let's just say except for the names of the 3 new creations, that Jeff didn't spend a lot of time thinking. Most of it went into the basic plot and maps. The combat system didn't get change until part way through the beta testing. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

We know where a copy of Galatic Core is and there are some mages out there. Now whether the copy will be located and what happens to the bodies will still be determined. But help or at least more targets is on the way to the ambush. Death isn't permanent as long as some Spiderwebbers are will to make an effort. Now we get to see the ill feelings caused by the spam war. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

About half of the creations can't be listed until the game comes out so this is a list of those that are from the earlier games and have been revealed: Fire shaping: Fyora, Cryoa Roamer, Pyroroamer Drayk, Cyrodrayk unavailable Drakon Battle shaping: Thahd Clawbug Battle Alpha, Battle Beta Rotgroth unavailable Magic shaping: Artila Vlish Glaahk unavailable Gazer Jeff has mentioned that some of the higher creation versions are charged which means more essence cost, more strength, shorter lifetimes, and not to be used near open flames. Geneforge 1 and 2 had the additional problem of a limited economy so shopkeepers ran out of money. I had a big pile in GF1 of unsold items that I had no use for in the end. Avernum 1 to 3 had too many items that I never sold because of the money cap, They just piled up waiting until I could find something to buy in the endgame. Any thoughts on the recent deal between Microsoft and Novell to use their flavor of LINUX in future Microsoft software. Microsoft will guarantee not to sue anyone using only the Novell version. Thereby spreading Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt that they will go after the other version. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Giuliani still has how he ended his marriage hanging over him. It ruined his chances for the Senate and people are becoming less forgiving about marital infidelity after Bill Clinton. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Then boredom set in as I miss the fight. At least there will be another chance since they didn't find the summoning machine. I guess it will be a few chapters until the answer to what happens in Shadowvale is given. How many times can Tyranicus die in an episode. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

They did have an comic issue where he had to cross the river into the suburbs. I think he hitched a ride on a train, but really hated not having anything to swing from after he got off. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Once Geneforge 4 comes out we can start new philosophy threads based upon the new material from the game. I need to type up my notes so I can easily cut and paste responses to game questions. Trying to read the last few weeks of them is getting hard. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

I still like acid spray for single targets. That was the nicest part about A4 was hitting a monster and having it run up and deposit the loot right at my feet. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

I prefer the classic Foglio works like the comic version of Myth Adventures and Buck Godot. Right next to me is his latest illustrations in Myth-Gotten Gains. I never got that into Girl Genius when it started as a print comic. Too bad they haven't restored all the old material when they revamped the website. I piled up all these items in GF4 thinking they might be needed later on in the game (you can see part of one pile in the screenshot - your own army). The next time through I was rich since I knew what I could sell so I could buy all the training I could ever want. I still have piles of items I'll never get around to using or making into other items. It did help when I needed that obscure quest item near the end of the game. In A4 I was always short on money until the Giant Lands. That's probably one of the reasons I always converted pylons into crystal cash. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

I think I got to be a beta tester since I fit an otherwise neglected platfrom or operating system. Either that or I'm the token old player demographic that Jeff needs because the kids don't have any money. DV mentioned running 5 different creations at once. Fyoras are mostly just cheap and easy to create. If they last long enough then they grow on you sort of like scaly fungus. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Depends how you define behind. Most people interpret it as on the other side of the major impassable mountain range to the north, If you go west then you are technically correct. Wandering through Blackcrag after you meet the people in the eastern part of the Fortress is a drag. The guards keep pushing you around. It's almost like the real world. For the Spiderweb equivalent to an Arsonist you could have differing levels from Fire Lizard up through Dragon or Drakon (TM level). X would be the archetype for a powerful moderator or administrator that rarely gets directly involved in the day to day problems. Trying to get three of the top ten spots this month are you. Although that was an interesting deception. I think ET was on his way to being one of the most dislike new arrivals until he "reformed" and became more tolerable. How is this revelation going to affect Episode 3? Since in the last chapter (9) ET made an appearance. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |
