quote:I liked them to. However, after playing four Avernum games, it'd be nice to get something different. Anyway, I just put the demo on my machine (A loading screen. *SNIFF* Awww, Avernum's all grown up). I'm looking at the graphics for something to use in my scenario and I see something that makes me scream. Avernum 4 has become the latest in a long series of games that have a beholder rip-off (Granted, it has nine eyestalks, so it just barely squeezes past the OGL). More signs JV is losing his originality. PS: Does anyone know how to make the mouse move any faster? It's driving me crazy! -------------------- Can you guys see a contact lens the size of a dinner plate? - The Beholder (Big Stick) Posts: 1509 | Registered: Tuesday, January 10 2006 08:00 |

Good comics. Any way you can convert them into one graphic? -------------------- IF I EVER BECOME AN EVIL OVERLORD: The artifact which is the source of my power will not be kept on the Mountain of Despair beyond the River of Fire guarded by the Dragons of Eternity. It will be in my safe-deposit box. The same applies to the object which is my one weakness. Posts: 1509 | Registered: Tuesday, January 10 2006 08:00 |

Arghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! Why do my parents have to have dial-up? EDIT: Yes, I intentionally spelled it with 9 'h's... I will be counting the hours until I get access to the high-speed at school. EDIT: Actually, I'll wait until JV releases it. This smells... fishy. -------------------- Well, I meet a lot of people, and I'm convinced that the vast majority of wrong-thinking people are right. - Monty Python [ Wednesday, March 01, 2006 18:29: Message edited by: Dintiradan ] Posts: 1509 | Registered: Tuesday, January 10 2006 08:00 |

My worst mistake with the Editor is not knowing about the existence of the few tools it has. Like manually changing the height square by square, THEN seeing that you can do it all at one. Arghhhhhhhhh. EDIT: Latest pet peeve: having to re-do all my walls just so I can place terrain by a wall. -------------------- I think that all right-thinking people in this country are sick and tired of being told that ordinary decent people in this country are fed up with being sick and tired. I am certainly not. Note that Spiderweb Software is based in North America, not Europe. It will thus remain 'scenarios'. What's next? The plural of 'moose' is 'meese'? Yeah, it probably wasn't the greatest idea. Working on someone else's work is never fun. Besides, the only people who could actually do it would be the designers, who probably would prefer to work on their own scenarios. -------------------- Is it Fluffy Turtle season yet? Is Limbo the same as Purgatory? Don't we all love the doctrine of the RCC. Need to build a cathedral in Rome. No problem: make the masses think they have to pay their way out of Purgatory. Cod discovered in the Grand Banks? Make it official canon to eat fish on Friday. On infinity: yes, there is more than one infinity. Infinity as expressed by the Reals is infinitely more infinite than infinity as expressed by the Rationals (say that three times fast). If that didn't blow your mind, look here! EDIT: Made the above slightly more understandable. -------------------- It is a miracle that curiosity survives formal education. - Albert Einstein [ Saturday, February 25, 2006 13:23: Message edited by: Dintiradan ] Posts: 1509 | Registered: Tuesday, January 10 2006 08:00 |

Poor Americans. The problem with only two parties is that in order to get a little good change, you have to put up with a lot of bad. Why is it that Americans group moral, economic, and foreign policy all together? On the plus side, it makes the democratic process so much easier. Two political parties, two sides of a coin. Coincidence? I think not! -------------------- The only difference between you and me is that I got caught... and I impaled someone's cat on a weathervane. - Antony St.-George (This Hour Has 22 Minutes) Posts: 1509 | Registered: Tuesday, January 10 2006 08:00 |

Dungeons & Dragons: Love the game, hated the movie. C'mon, you can't make a movie solely based on cliches for any other genre, why should you for fantasy? On a side note: my DM recommends D&D2.
