IC: --half a hour ago-- A strange feeling had passed over Eve. It was as if time had stopped but the duration continued. Using this pause to her advantage she went and retrieved her affects. By the time she came back the world still felt like nothing was changing, nothing was passing. OOC: The above just represents the dry-spell we just had. --present-- Eve started to feel a sense of suffocating dread come over her. She then saw the cause of it. Ancient powerful,unholy and very much present. A Lich Lord. It was looking at Kel-Aziz with what seemed interested contempt and she saw the feeling of horrified recognition pass over his face. IC: Eve almost stumbled in shock. Infront of her was standing a figure that looked very familar. Her other half smirked as she took advantage of the pause, moving her blade so fast that the blade was sure to hit it's target. Unless the said target shared every memory with the attacker. Moving just as quickly to block, Eve gave her own her smirk. The dopplehanger scowled as they began to dance,blades flashing of each other. Around the two others were having similar battles. This looks very very good. I noticed that at the end of the page that it said both Mac and Windows versions would be availible during spring(or autum depending what hemisphere you are in) 2004. IC: Eve still in cat-form had followed the rebels to the undead legion. Great, there's no time to get my armour but they need help. The cat closed her eyes and concentrated. Soon Eve's normal form stood,her wounds healed wearing a brown mind thigh shift at least she wasn't going into combat naked. She looked around her, as if looking for something. Then with clang her weapons materialised at her feet. Eve picked them up smirking It was so worth it to get my weapons in-tune with my soul and getting clothes that shift wit the body, thank the world for ambient mages. She bounded into the fray, slicing through fetid flesh, destroying minor undead left and right. IC: Eve searched the floor of the tower she was currently on. She became aware of the screams of horror coming from where the main fight had taken place. Turning around she galloped back into the hall. No one noticed a cat come in because they were too busy staring at and avoiding the Beast that was ripping through the soldiers like she did with Tuna. It was shaped like a wolf but many times larger, soldiers blood covering it's muzzle and long fangs. But most horrifying thing was it's eyes. They were glowing with blood and full of psychaotic rage. I thought it wasn't going to be easy she thought. Eve crouched low and bared her fangs. With a hiss she charged the werewolf, clawing up it's back while it was attacking a soldier. Fluffy felt some pain in his back. But he ignored it, there was still more creatures breathing. He had also seen a transparent floating thing it tried to say something but he ignored that too, all he wanted was to kill. Eve dug her claws in trying to keep a grip on the rapidly moving Fluffy. She sunk her fangs into it's back. It was hard, trying to get through all that fur. But she managed to draw blood. When the blood touched her tounge. All the resistances to the call of blood were blown away. She was cat, ableit a werecat and she was damn well going to start acting like one. Eve became a whirlwind of fangs and claws, goughing in the werewolf's body moving up his back and ending up trying to bite the lycanthrope's ears off. Fluffy paused in his decimating. A growl emerging from his throat. The pain in his back hadn't stopped but had moved up his body. It was getting annoying... OOC: Ok Enraged slith can decide what will happen next Cherrio! This year I was originally going to get job so I could leave after doing the school certificate and go back next year to start the HSC. But our school decided to change the rules, making it that you can only leave if you aren't returning next year That means I will be in school for weeks on end doing crap-all. OOC:This is just a quick post. IC: She had been amazed at how skillfull Kel;-Aziz had been at dispatching the skeletons. The rest of the group had rushed through the illusionary wall and imediately started attacking the soldiers. Eve's waveblade sliced through arms and chest, dispatching another soldier.She noticed another soldier fleeing through a door. He's playing a game!the cat side thought. "Come back! I want to play!" Eve yelled as she chased after him. He was the prey and she was the hunter. Eve ran after him and leapt at him stabbing with her dagger. He spun around and slashed with his sword cutting her arm. Howling with pain and anger she moved her dagger in an unskilled reflex action ending his life. Eve was in a crouching position and panting. The pain from the cut had momentarily ended her bloodlust Think back to why you came here, she thought It was to find that wolf-beast that killed Bob and kick his butt That was true, part of the reason she had joined the rebels was to find the werewolf (Fluffy) and at least leave him with an injury. Eve did not take kindly to being almost lynched or burnt at the stake for the murder of Bob the innkeeper. So that's why she was here, to avenge Bob and herself while saving a island on the side. But how will I find it? she thought, then she grinned. It had been so long since she *changed* and it would be ideal for this situation. Finding a niche behind a staircase she moved over there and loosen her armour. If anyone had been watching they would have heard a gasp, a curiously organic sound and the almost inaduible sound of clothes hitting the ground. But since no one was watching, no one heard. Half a minute after, a super-large tabby emerged from behind the staircase. It Maiowed loundly and sniffed the air. The seems so much more interesting when you are a cat Eve reflected. She felt slightly guilty about leaving the battle but there was a werewolf to deal with Come on, lets go hunt a werewolf the now dominant Cat side whined. Eve then sniffed the air and started running down on of the corridors searching for her unsually larger prey. OOC: Damn! Forgot to say that I would like my character to survive. OOC: Sorry I haven't been posting. OOC: This is long post IC: Eve made some futile attempts at cleaning the dried cave slime of her clothing Another tunic ruined she scowled. She kept up with group then froze, she could her unmistakeable sound of rats. Rats? Finally something that appeals to me They went along another twist in tunnel when at least thirty giant rats surrounded the group from both sides. "Well this will be easy," someone said as they drew their weapons. Eve stared at the rats, they were acting strangely not attacking but just standing there. She then heard a voice in her head You will make good mind-hosts.Many times you soft-skins disrupted my hive-now you will be eaten it sounded cold and painful. Eve looked at others and saw the pained expressions. Obviously they could hear it as well. Her eyes searched the horde of rats and immemdiately saw the shrunken figure in a ragged robe with a faint glow of energy. "Oh hell," she whispered. "What is it? Molek asked, keeping his voice down. "The rats are being controlled by a Ratten, that means they will not stop fighting even if killed until the Ratten controlling their mind is stopped," Eve thought back to her childhood and remembered the stories about the Ratten or Rat Masters. Occasionally the giants would give birth to Ratten, a giant rat that stood on it's hindlegs and was senient. They had strong magically powers and the ability to control lesser minds-like rats. This talent was so powerful that they could over-ride the mind's automatic processes, like dying when killed. There had even been stories where the mind-hosts had been reported to have been partially rotting, the body long dead. "Shall we get this done or not?" Eve asked drawing her swords. What is this? A CAT mind?! KILL it! KILL!! it screamed as the rats surged forward. OOC: Hows that? IC: Eve walk silently, letting her feet do the walking while the rest of her senses were free to explore. This is quite a nice island she thought, listening to the sounds of small creatures going about their lives It is sad that its beauty is marred by all this death and destruction. she continued to listen to the forest when she had a hit of intution, something was wrong. One of the assassins advanced on Eve, seeing that she was younger than the others and possibly less experianced. He unsheathed his short swords while she drew her waveblade. They circled each other both taunting the other with quick slashes at there vunerable parts. the assassian respect for Eve grew more as she dodged his attacks. He then moved in suddenly using both swords she was forced to move back so she could keep the waveblade in play. She dodged the blow but was grazed by the second. Eve hissed in pain the in one fludid movement stabbed the man with her hidden dagger. He dropped soundlessly.
