I was wondering, since Avernum 4 has been out for some time now, how many people actually register Avernum 4, or at least tried the demo? -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. He is gone, isn't he. There is now just one thing left that has to be done. It is a terrible thing to do, but I have to do it. Even if I will have to leave one of my limbs in the process. I have to. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek! quote:I think this has more to do with translation Dutch - Latin than English - Dutch (or Dutch - English), as we thought on the Nephilian grammar topic. You see, in Dutch we say for "of whole the forum," "van de hele Forum," but not as a genitive construction. Un Dutch an ablative is also translated (of the many options) with "van" (= of). that may be the problem, or my inability to think correctly in both Latin and English at the same time. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. quote:To be perfectly frank, I ha dno idea what verb to use. i was thinking about movere, but I didn't know for sure. However, with "totis foris" I didn't mean "for the whole Forums" but "of all the forums," as an ablative. that is the same ending, isn't it? -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Hmmm... you may beright. If I was Synergy, and would see how many people wish he wouldn't have made this decision, I would have most probably stayed. Then again, to start living a life is wonderful. Being in a crowded disco, dancing while holding a glass of beer in your hand... I wish I could relive that moment. I wish you all the luck, and I hope you will get a nice girlfriend. And a glass of beer, of course. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek! Question 1: What exactly seems to be the problem? You don't understand how dialogue works, from node to node? You don't understand how you should write it? What's exactly the matter? Question 2: INTRO let's you make a text that the player reads when he first meets the character. When the player meets that same charatcre a second time, you don't see the text one saw at the first meeting, but you see another text. that way you can make things like this: FIRST MEETING "You meet a lovely young chickens with feathers all around it" SECOND MEETING (and all other meetings (third fourth etc.)) "You meet the chicken again. This time, the chicken knows who you are, and starts picking at your feet" -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. I forgot to ask this: If you go, does that mean you also stop playing Avernum? if so, that's too bad. If you will still be playing BoA, I hope you will play my scenario. That is all. One can try to get back to real life and keep posting at this forum. I'm the living example (if not one of the hunderds who are also the living examples). it is also not that difficult to live to lives at the same time, as long as one doesn't need to change clothes every fifteen minutes. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. I'm trying to put in the dread curse upon leaving a certain town, but I don't see I get it. So I ask two things: Can somebody please show me the code that enables dread curse (so I can compare it with what I made), and how can one see he has dread curse? -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape.
