What's the problem? Thralni wasn't an Avernite, I know, but I happen to like Avernum more than the Empire, and I don't know how to call a citizen of the Empire. "Empireman", "Empite"? EDIT: I have no clue as of why Alo doesn't have a custom title. I do know that he keeps changing his username all the time as a protest ffor not getting a custom title. By the way, you don't get a custom title only for having more than 10000 posts. You must have earned it. again a reason for me not to understand why he doesn't have a custom title. Blademaster is the cutom title for moderators, I think. Or admins. I don't know for sure. "Your postlines" is the real title, which isn't a custom title, but a preset title, like "veteran", "erudite" etc. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. It is nice to see people enjoying a game that is very old. indeed, I can sympathize with that. I always keep playing dark catle for the Mac plus, and still enjoy it. Hacker, could you PM me please? Why I'll tell you in a PM I'll then send to you, okay? -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek! There will always be problems. Even if we do make the world a better place, then we will find other problems to be miserable about. Then, when we solve these problems, somebody will find even more problems, until there are no problems anymore, for as far this is possible. then people will get miserable because they have nothing to keep them busy. Everything is solved anyway. Now I don't say we shouldn't try to make the world a better place, I only say humanity is in some terms quite pathetic. One of these terms is the ability to always find problems, doesn't matter how petty or irrelevant. This reminds me of a discussion I had yesterday, and it is not entirely off-topic. About having a goal in life. that is quite a problem, a goal, I mean. people generally feel two things about a goal, depending on their present situation. With having a goal, this means: Reached your goalNot reached your goalNow, if we take a person in his fifties, then he will feel in these two ways, in the same order a sabove, about his goal: He will be depressed because he reached his goal, and can't find anything else to do.He will hate himself and be depressed because he didn't manage to achieve his goal.(Note that this can also occur on earlier ages, but it will start at an age of about 35.) Is it good to have a goal in life then? or will you be depressed because you feel bored and don't know what to do. As I see it, in all manners, a person could become depressed, no matter what he does. Of course, some people have a normal life, retire, and live happily ever after. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Now, that one I did find hilarious. how do you make them? is it a special computer program of which i never heard? Probably. I'm looking forward to your next comic. Do we have a replacement for Alec until he comes back, or don't we? i think so. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. So everybody agrees that a PSP is useless when one has a computer. If there is no classic on the Intel Macs, I'll just play exile on my PC or not at all, and switch to a different webeditor. To be honest, I'd rather have "front row" than Classic. This reminds me, are all Avernums (1,2,3,4,BoA) OS X native, or still not all of them? -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. I'm to paranoid to leave an open scenario unsaved for more then five seconds, so that's not my problem. however, before discovering the 3D-editor, I had problem placing terrain. I always placed the wrong terrain (espacially the closets and such, which only have graphic in the editor, as it would appear in the game, and not like walls and tables have them). It cost me loads of time to correct all these small mistakes. -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. I often make that misktake. And I also forgot about the "I like Macs" referring to the computer itself. It is probably like "I hate PCs", right? No offence, but isn't it stunning that the first reply to every topic I saw of this kind (that has nothing to do ith Spiderweb) is always negative? I just noticed that. :) I actually never heard of the AMD chips, but they ARE better then the PowerPC crap they used before. Come on! A mac mini being 4.7 time faster! Isn't that a lot better? A Mac mini having everything the Imac G5 has only FAR smaller. isn't that very nice? @Tyranicus: What I don't understand in your reply is the following: You say that you don't like Mac, but don't mind MacOS. For as far as I know, Mac and MacOS are the same, making your statement a contradictory statement. Did you mean you don't like Apple but do like MacOS, or something completely different? -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. That is exactly the thing I made abouty a week ago, with automatical checks for amount of monsters, and possible terrain/monsters that may obscure the spot to summon the monster. Thanks for the advice, but I already made something that works perfectly, and is almost the same as you made. No, I'm not a complete beginner at scripting :P -------------------- Play and rate my scenarios: Where the rivers meet View my upcoming scenario: The Nephil Search: Escape. Give us your drek!
