Well, not die, but either make more sense, use proper grammar, or don't visit the boards anymore.

I hate to keep sticking up for the fellow, but he really has been making more sense. Give him a chance.

Hmm. I'm half tempted to start using horrible grammar and punctuation in all of my posts in protest against all the arghhhhhhhhh-bashing.

Hypocrit.

I had to say that. You stand up for Arghhhhhhhhh, but others (like Eddie) you just taunted and pestred. Eddie would have been more eager to adapt if TM hadn't made him crazy to begin with, and second, he would have felt more welcome on the boards if people like you would have given him a chance.

We don't need some kind of turf warfare here. Ed was crazy before he came, and in all fairness, if he couldn't hack it, he did the right thing by leaving.

And I can say this becasue I'm his friend.

If Arghhhhhhhhhhhh posts relevant stuff, then I have no problem with him. It's just that a large number of his posts are just... nonesensical.

Thralni, I didn't "taunt" Ed, or even pester him -- I simply pointed out that he was blatantly lying.

I have already commented that my (conditional) support for arghhhhhhhhh is based on the fact that he is adapting to the community, as opposed to Ed, who tried to make the community adapt to his needs through whining.

H wanted to be safe and secure, but people didn't make him feel like he was safe and secure, as a result he became worse.

I like ed, but you have to talk to him personally. That's what I did, like Supanik. It is probably good that he left, but still. And I don't really see arghhhhhhhhhh adapting (Although I find that username quite funny, in a good way).

Yelling at annoying newbies until they leave or learn to spell is a public service. It's the responsibility, nay, the duty, of every good member.

Are you listening to yourself? He wanted to be safe and secure? this is the internet, he has to know that it's not a safe place. If that's what he wants, there is always Nick or Disney.com. Now I'm not saying that we should go trashing on Newbies, since they are humans and have feelings. And JV does make his living on this games so us kicking out customers won't do him any good. However, let's be realistic, safe and secure? Pleeease

So are most idiots you will meet in your lifetime. Seriously, most of what is wrong with this world is the fault of humans. Being human is no excuse.

LOL, Aran.

Thralni, here's the thing. Not all humans are created equal, and not all newbies are either. Now we have two cases here.

Case #1:
Person does annoying things
Person gets insulted
Person responds by whining and creating drama
Person tries to obtain his desires through force ("[Thread closed]")
Person lies to the community

Case #2:
Person does annoying things
Person gets insulted
Person ignores insults
Person does annoying things, but not nearly as many of them

I think this makes the difference pretty clear. Recognizing that not all similar things are exactly the same does not make someone a hypocrite.

Also, while I am as cynical as Aran about humanity, I *am* inclined to have some sympathy for a ten-year-old. Do you know how annoying I was when I was ten? Very. Thralni, I am guessing you were at least as annoying as I was, considering how stubborn you are...

All newbs who post more than a few times get harrassed.

At one point, arghhhhhhhhh did say he was 8. Now he says he's 10. There's more similarities between him and "Eddie" (for some reason, he reminds me of the computer in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy) than one might think.

Since arghhhhhhhhh doesn't seem likely to run off, we might as well learn to live with him, just like we learn to live with just about everyone else who sticks around.

Dikiyoba alternately pities and is annoyed by both arghhhhhhhhh and "Eddie."

Edit: Typo.

I'm still a newbie, so I'm still on the first line of each of Starlucker's cases.

I think you moved on to getting insulted a fair while ago.

And ignoring the insults. (...as you must have by not acknowledging just HOW often you got them. :P ) And then moving on to being annoying far less frequently.

Okay, you convinced me. Doesn't take away what I think of the situation, though.

Thralni, if aliens ever come and try to steal our thoughts, I want you on my team, 'cause damn but they're gonna have a hard time getting you to let go of yours!

edit: that was probably not the clearest idiom to use here

Well how kind of you to say that. You can convince my brain, but not my heart.

Did that sound too.... too.... Nah, I can't find the right word. maybe you, Slartucker?

No, I really do like you said that :)

Why not? Was it meant as an insult? in that case, it didn't quite work out.
