Yup, it would. It isn't lack of machine, it is lack of narrative need to change OS. Nothing I want is XP mandatory, and XP does cost money. It's just another tool, and I don't need the newest or fanciest to get the job done.

But good news about SP3, at least that means the tool won't break quite as often. ;)

  • ADoS over Aran. ADoS is of impressive stature, both historically and olafactorily. Aran is awed, stumbles, and quickly edits his enemy. ADoS is legion, however, and overwhelms the human Aran.
  • Drakefyre over Goldenking. Don't anger the disc man. One quick taunt from Goldenking is all it takes, and Drakefyre crowdsurfs over and deletes him.
  • Ash Lael over Dintiradan. Ash has more up his sleeve than just Creation, and his sultry sexy voice corrupts the airwaves, his dulcimer tones beguiling his enemy until he ends the match in one strike.
  • Nemesis by default.
  • Stareye over Zeviz. Any questions?
  • Student of Trinity over Salmon. Biased I may be, but Salmon's technique are always spotted and avoided by SoT, who proceeds to drop a bomb and obliterate his opponent. Nicely.
  • Jewels over TM. She's a mom, and they are always right, even when wrong. TM has no chance.

Heh. Still running Windows 2000 SP 4, which has been more stable than any MS OS I've seen to date.

You kids with your fancy operating systems. Back in my day we had CP/M, and liked it!

Thanks Nioca. That, and the goblin swordsman will do fine. Still need a archer though.

Older stuff from Phil and Kaja, nostalgia for us old people.

Please post links to your favorite comics, so that we can enjoy them too!

I've checked the Aran site, plus Pixel, Louvre, and Blazing, and saw nothing like this. I need/desire 2 goblin monster sets, one with a bow, and the other with a crossbow.

Thanks.

Knock it off. That sort of "comic" wouldn't be appropriate to post on these boards, and as such is not appropriate to directly link to either.

Edited the link out of your original post as well.

So fanboi, what does the name of that image (youareallfatanduglycd0.gif) have to do with the image? Is that just a random selection of letters and numbers, or is there some hidden message?

Even though I don't watch it, I feel that calling it "a fake sport" is a retarded argument. It is entertainment, just like everything else on television. Yes, including baseball, hockey, and football. They aren't sports unless you are playing. They are entertainment.

You'll have to do better than that if you want to dismiss an entertainment industry that is worth millions.

It's funny.

Really.

I saw this very same link on a white supremacist board (Storm Front) that had been linked through a forum tangential to the fishing one I frequent. From what I gathered, the white supremacists were encouraging people to read and accept the info on this link. Does that mean white supremacists = communists?

That's the funny thing about living in the USA. Even our garbage is of value to people living in (and as if they were in) a third world country. Poverty isn't pretty, and a can of SPAM can be the difference between malnutrition and ... slightly delayed malnutrition.

Tully, using vulgarity, even masking as you have, is beneath you. I realize you like maintaining this facade of [something], but consider the kid surfing her with his mom so that she can see for herself that this is a safe place for him to come read about the games she buys for him. And then she clicks on that link and reads the titlebar.

For shame.

Clavicle: The problem with these discussions, on this board, is that the argument and counter-argument are almost assumed to have been spoken at the onset of the discussion. Hopefully a new discussion branch will be discovered, and we can begin with another assumption.

It is so bad that at one point some person discussed the advantages of having numbered responses to puns, jokes, positions, etc. presumably to decrease thread width. Or depth. Although, these really can't be considered all that deep. :)

It may surprise you to know that I understand the construction of acronyms. But, if you needed the exercise in typing all those brackets, glad to have given you cause.

Edit - That reminds me that I do need to download that scenario. I tried from nethergate, a while ago, and failed, so will have to try again.

You already can chose to have only one character, and quite a few people prefer to run singletons. Geneforge is mostly that way by default. As to the spawning, they do exist, but are limited. I don't think Jeff likes spawners and is unlikely to include them in future games.

Care to expand that a little? With all the scenarios available, it's become increasingly difficult to know what these acronyms mean. You know, to us laymen.

Actually, I agree about Bywater. He would have been better served to just email Baio with a request to have his part removed. By putting his comments on the record, he is put in an untenable position. At least some of the others, while having a similar attitude, had the hind/foresight to say "Meh" and move on. After all, people that are comfortable within their jobs today have no concern about that past. It may be that Bywater still has some blame issues which are separate from the Infocom saga.
And with that, I hold myself wholely to blame for commentating on something about which I know naught. But, given the subject, that seems an acceptable position from which to start. :P

Every game, set, and match of a tennis tournament starts with a serve, and that is usually followed by a volley.

Why should the semi-annual vegedebate receive any less gravitas?

I loved seeing the ANGAR! And the reading failure on the part of so many commenters as they blindly attacked Bywater for what was a most reasonable post.

Just a friendly reminder. Pigs (and cows/chickens/lambs/goats) depend on us omnivores for their very lives. You don't honestly think that farmers would grow livestock if there was no market, do you?

Support your local farmer, don't buy processed meat, insist on meat from farms that treat animals humanely.
