And neither will be yours. Seriously, this is pathetic. The last post/or even topic of this forum should be related to something to honor SubTerra, and not pathetic attempts to make the last post.

Well, if you put the that way, then yes.

Well I played SubTerra for the first time not too long ago, and I did so because I finally wondered what was going on in this forum and what it was about. Therefore, it would be useful to keep it so that new members could take a look at the game. Other than that, it is really useless.

True, but your not going to actually meet them. Just to, as Drew said, rub in their faces your impressive-sounding job. Well, I came here (NY) in my senior year so I didn't make that many friends in high school and seriously doubt that I'll ever go to the reunion. And Dominicans don't do high school reunions or even colleges that I know of, but the city where I lived in was so small, well most cities are in the country, that you get to see half of your graduation class at least twice a week so it's not really necessary.
On the other hand, it's so sad to see you gone Thuryl, I hope you get back soon, and I'm sure you'll be missed. Have fun

That's what happens to me. It's not that I get the whole song, but mainly 3 lines and I keep saying it all over again until I just want to make me to shut up.

VCH - I like that song too, one of my fav of hers in english. I'm just sick of singing it.

gotten an annoying song stuck in your head?. Every morning for the past couple of weeks I've been putting MTV while getting ready in the morning, and I mostly end up with whatever song was last playing stuck on my head all day. However, this past week I got that new shakira song stuck in my head. It's not that I don't like it, but it's getting annoying.
So the topic is to post the lyrics for whatever song you have stuck in your head at the time, or the most annoying song you've ever gotten stuck in your head.

Mine's

Don't Bother
by Shakira

Ps. the most annoying song that has ever been stuck in my head though I don't remember the lyrics. It's that song from the South Park movie, "It's easy m'okay" or something like that.

My bad, I was in a hurry (I know it's not an excuse, but that's what happened) so I just went by Spring's post.

Btw, isn't it amazing how different Kirsten Dunst looks now? I can't believe she's the same girl that did both, Little Women and "Interview with the Vampire"

My newest obsession: Harry Potter. After years of knowing nothing about it, I decided to watch the first movie which led to the second and then the third. Well, last week I finally read the first book and I loved it. I know it sounds crazy since I saw the movie, but I just thought the writing was really good.
This weekend I'll finally see the movie, and I'm saving up to buy book #5 and 6.

It should do, but I sort of suspect it will just continue here as well. For example, why isn't THIS topic in the Avernum series forum?

Didn't someone ask this before? (I've been having way too many Déjà Vu lately). Well General is supposed to be "A general discussion forum for our company and games."Though if one check the topics on General ..........

Nope. Two wrongs do not make a right (is that how it goes?). For example, if you ask someone in spanish:
Que hora es? (what time is it?)
99% of the time they'll answer:
Son las una y media, or some other time, which is wrong. You'd have to say: Es la una y media which will agree with the question. Although everyone says it wrong, it is still wrong, and if marked on a test as a question (at least in Dom. Rep.) it'll be marked wrong.

...2...3...go!

Exactly what was that anyway?

This is a joke so in that I think only I get it; but I couldn't resist.

The most efficent coding scheme should assign the shortest symbol to the most commonly used statement. So I have decided that "1" should denote a standard expression of wry bemusement, which would surely be my most frequently used single posting around here. This is a radical way to conserve bandwidth.

More generally, I guess, by posting "1" I am alluding to the idea of having short symbols standing for arbitrarily long and complicated ideas, as in what Golem XIV called 'metalangs'. For some reason this bemuses me greatly.

Great answer. Though one might wonder if he actually understood a word you said.

It is always summer in Australia when it is winter in the Northern Hemisphere.

One might add, however, that there are many areas in said hemisphere (eg. Finland) where it probably is colder in summer than it is in Australia in winter.

Ouch, I can't imagine living in a place that cold. and I give hell to people living in Canada.
Though I should add that some winters in Dom Rep are actually hotter than some summers in NY.

I'm sure this will be one of those moments, like: "where were you when they knocked over the twin towers", or "where were you when they killed president kennedy"?

As per me, I'd like to be just right here starring at the screen and just wondering, how did he possibly make it to 10,000 posts?
