*sigh* And SubTerra is such a good game, too.

For some reason, this reminded me of a John Bellairs novel, possibly The House With a Clock in its Walls. I think this book is an exceedingly appropriate metaphor for the SubTerra forum.

If uBB could do this (which I'm relatively sure it can't), it would be a good idea to have this forum just link to the "real" Subterra forum.

Might be a good idea.... all someone has to do is replace the link(s).

The link to the other forum could be put up on top with the other links. That way people have easy access to the other forum and this forum can survive.

:D ;) :P

That felt good. Now I just need to never look at this topic again. At least I got my urge to add emoticons out of the way for 2006. Thanks SubTerra! You are a useful forum.

I kind of like this thread. It's nice and cozy. This should be a pinned thread in one of the forums where we can all just mingle for the sake of mingling. ;)

The number of members that actually post in a forum does not prove anything. A forum can have only 5 members that actually post, and still be a useful forum to keep.

Take the Announcements forum, for example...

The announcements forum holds information about the rules, and very practical information about the forum, nothing more. This information is vital for all the users. Besides that, it only has about 6 or 7 topics, so it wouldn't make a difference deleting it. That's why they keep it as well, but more because it has important information for all the users, unlike this forum, which only has information about Subterra. So it's only important for SubTerra players. Deleting this forum won't change much. Deleting the Announcement forum would make the entire forum, or at least the newbies, go nuts.

How many newbies actually read the announcements forum? I mean, seriously...

Wow. This forum is empty...

My point was, the number of topics or the number of members posting in a forum does not prove by itself that it is worthless or worthy.

Indeed, for the first time in months, Subterra is getting posts.

I'm thinking it would drive the mods who have to moderate newbie behavior nuts and embarrass the newbies who really want to be a useful member of the forum. It wouldn't make a difference for the need-a-question answered newbies or the badly behaved ones.

Why delete anything, when you can secretely take it over and use it for subliminal messages with inscrutable purposes? You just need a small quorum of posters to maintain a trickle of traffic as cover.

In other words, SubTerra is such an amazing game that deleting this forum would be ridiculous. It has turned out that I am subtly implying many other important points on the topic "anything else having to do with SubTerra".

Well I played SubTerra for the first time not too long ago, and I did so because I finally wondered what was going on in this forum and what it was about. Therefore, it would be useful to keep it so that new members could take a look at the game. Other than that, it is really useless.

Well, yes, except that anyone who actually wants to talk about SubTerra would best be served going here. I mean, honestly, I feel as though everyone's interests would best be served if Spiderweb took down everything about SubTerra and just put up a link to Radiant's site.

In case anyone is interested, I had a strange dream last night. In it I was viewing the SubTerra forum. In one of the topics, there was a post that said that Radiant was a member of nine forums, that he was the author of Lost Souls and Galactic Core, and many other like games. Could this be the secret identity of RW?

Well, if you put the that way, then yes.

Best delete this forum before these undulating waves of the inane rearrange your deranged brain. This place exists in inverted space. One more post and I bet it's replaced. Will's already written. It's been snake bitten. Unleash the beast with that poisoned key stroke. No joke. SubTerra. Terra what? Terra's shut.
