Sorry, I'm kidding around. :P Seriously, I cannot imagine how you can say melee is underpowered. It's the only useful option, I think. I've killed all kinds of ridiculous stuff with a level 1 party in BoE, relying mainly on melee. Hasting and blessing fighters is essential, of course. Also, if you don't mind me asking, why do you think BoA is better? I think the multitude of great scenarios scenarios like Shadow of the Stranger and Roots and Tomorrow would put it a long way above BoA. As a full forward, you can usually get by with less fitness (though you still need it), as long as you're a strong man. Just saw the Hawthorn/Brisbane match. How was that for an upset? There are the big, strong players who can stand up and take a mark in a pack with three guys hanging off them, there are the fast, athletic midfielders, and there are small, skillful goalsneaks. Stephen Milne for St. Kilda is like that. I've seen him quite literally step around a couple of players and kick a goal. Not to mention the guys like Brett Burton or Russel Robertson who can jump onto another player's shoulders to take a high mark.
