I haven't played Halo, but System Shock 2 is the gold standard for shooters as far as I'm concerned.

That bug does suck, but on the other hand, when are you ever going to need more than 30000 gold anyway?

If I'm not mistaken, several of TM's scenarios call the Empire capital Solaria as well, though it's really only referred to in passing. Shadow of the Stranger has a portion set in the capital, but a name is not specified.

You could also have a 'largest city' that isn't the capital. I live in the capital city of Australia, but there's a good lot of cities that are larger.

I frequently give to charity, but have not bought myself a computer yet. Does that count? :P

I still think Thuryl is exaggerating. There are tons of Aboriginals in Australia. Just not very many in the capital cities. Whether that's because they feel a greater connection to their heritage in places like Bourke or some other reason, I don't know.

Of couse, the opposite view of that is that the black kid grew up in a disadvantaged situation and is only less qualified because his parents weren't able to afford the education that the white kid got from his folks, so therefore basing such decisions purely on ability is causing a 'rich get richer, poor get poorer' situation.

While I have a certain amount of sympathy for that point of view, I think that a person is much more than the product of his circumstances. I think it's the responsibility of each person to deal with the variables of his/her life more than it is the government's.

Not that hard. Tomorrow (BoE) is somewhat similar in structure, but handles the issue a heck of a lot better. After all, who says that characters have to sit stuck in one place?

If ZKR has everything you look for in a scenario, well, good for you. The world is a slightly happier place for you. Me, I thought it was pretty lacking. Just a bunch of dungeons and quests glued together in an arbitrary manner.

Man, that's a really good question. I'm inclined to think Thuryl may be right about the impact of the world wars. In the wake of Hiroshima, the Cold War inspired any number of "Nuclear devastation narrowly averted" stories.

C.S. Lewis's 'Prelandra' may or may not have been published before LOTR, I'm not sure. In either case, the two were very much contemparies, so the time difference between them is neither here or there.

Does anyone here with some knowledge of the old Greek plays recall anything?

What you do:

2) Ask parent if you can donate blood.

3) When they ask why, tell them that you really need 50 bucks.

4) Parent will give you a few alternate suggestions on how to earn 50 bucks. Take them.

Thuryl - The other way around, actually. :P It didn't make me care, and therefore was not as much fun.

For whatever reason, BoA's ASR did not involve me. Maybe it was because I'd already played the BoE version twice. Maybe it's because I'm more jaded. Maybe it was the 'improvements' that pulled me out of it. Maybe it was just the graphics and the system. Maybe it was a combination of all the above.

Whatever the reason, I wasn't drawn in. I didn't care about the choice, because I knew - and more importantly, I felt - that there was no choice. Both paths exist, it's just a case of which you decide to look at. I couldn't care less about the serfs, because I was never able to see them as anything more than a couple of lines of text and a graphic.

Just sounds like a jarred finger to me. I've had a fair few. They hurt a bit for a fair while, but heal fine. Taping the bad finger to a good one helps if you want to keep playing sport or whatever.

On the other hand, I could be completely wrong. Asking random strangers on the internet who can't even see how bad it is may not be the best way to get good advice. :P
