Small Rebellion is twice. Instead of that, you could've put in Babysitting. That did come pretty early.

Bahss will win this poll, hands down. Canopy is too difficult and controlling; LP is too contrived, ugly and difficult; EM is too controlling; RoR is too angry; APF is too short; BWC is too mediocre; CV is too awful. Bahss is the only scenario with enough dragons, undead, demons, hit points and mindless dungeon-hacking to really become a hit with the BoA electorate.

I voted APF, BTW.

This actually could be more accurate than the Lyceum because it doesn't require anyone to write up each scenario individual. It is plug and play. I voted Backwater Calls.

I liked that one a lot.

As always, TM, go to hell.

Other than my own scenarios, my favorite is Emerald Mountain. It's more entertaining than RoR, more smooth than Canopy, longer than BS and X'd, more involving than APF (although this is close), more polished than BC and CV, and generally more worthwhile than the JV scenarios (except VoDT, which is also close).

Hey, what about ZKR? It's not even on there, and it was probably the best! Plenty of options, an interesting (albeit overly-long) time limit, and an intriguing look back into post-A3 Avernum... what's not to like?

For non-Jeff-created scenarios, I'd have to say APF. Very good plot, interesting (though occasionally annoying) creatures, nice landscape, and not too much preaching.

I would've said Bahs... but it was freakishly long (it got tiresome once I got to the golems), and it ended right when it was getting interesting again. Good design aside, I hate undead. I really, really, really hate undead. With a passion.

In fact, all the creature cliches (i.e.: golems, demons) are starting to wear on my nerves. I'm just glad that slimes have made very minimal appearances, and that any goblins in scenarios have been oddly powerful.

Another slith war (dammit, Jeff), a premise that is totally absent from the majority of the scenario, a lack of any compelling characters, no interesting BoA technical flashes, and more stuff described here. (And here and here, come to think of it.)

Well, it's hard to get compelling characters when you've got to keep moving through a deserted corridor of Avernum.

EDIT: And you can't say that Morog and the imps of Morogville weren't interesting.

I cared for... maybe... a minute. Then he sent me down to the Deep Crawlers and I really, really didn't anymore.

Emerald Mountain is the best. Bahssikava is the most fun.

It looks like I have two posts exactly the same.

It was an accident.

Can someone delete one of them?

I voted for Canopy. It didn't run or feel as "smooth" as APF, but it had an interesting plot and mechanics, as well as challenging combat. I might have voted for, Bahssikava, being enjoyable and deeply involved, but it got monotonous half-way through; too much hacking and slashing.

Not that hard. Tomorrow (BoE) is somewhat similar in structure, but handles the issue a heck of a lot better. After all, who says that characters have to sit stuck in one place?

Morog and the imps were not at all compelling for me. Not even slightly.

If ZKR has everything you look for in a scenario, well, good for you. The world is a slightly happier place for you. Me, I thought it was pretty lacking. Just a bunch of dungeons and quests glued together in an arbitrary manner.

To be fair, Tomorrow has the advantage of prequels. The only significant newly-introduced character is the Wickerman, and he's just a stereotypical horror-movie villain.

Fair point, but the Wickerman still beats Morog by a very large margin.

I liked Morog and Imps. I wouldn't vote for ZKR but it's indeed not the worst BoA scenario, so too bad those who like it can't vote it.
