Finally, an interesting one.

I'd shoot. If I know that I'm going to die and the other person has a gun in his/her hand, I'm not really going to have to go out of my way to prove that the situation was self-defense.

If I have to shoot somebody, I'd shoot them- duh. If I didn't have to shoot somebody, I'd try and save them. If I had to shoot the originator of this appallingly poorly made hypothetical situation, I'd do it gladly.

I would try to get the loved one out of the car at all cost. Even if I had information or good reason to believe that the loved one wouldn't make it regardless of my actions, I'd still try.

This would be incredibly difficult even in BoA, but you could have a game of Poker that could deal out one of 52 random cards and run a check.

Not sure about that- horses are huge and fast, but if the Hoplite general is proficient with a spear (a rhetorical boolean at best), then Secretariat would be unilateraly screwed by skewering in the face, whereas Alcibiades would only suffer a broken ribcage. Even if Secretariat were to win, it most certainly wouldn't be 10-0. Remember- horses are fast, but rarely have a charging tactic that moves their heads any- they're incredibly easy targets.

Not to pressure my testers, but unless GF3 is out by X-mas, Canopy will have beaten it. I don't plan on delaying the release any longer than that.

Re Potionmaking/Tool Use: Each potion/door/trap has its own difficulty rating. My recommendation is to turn the value of the potion/door/trap that into the minimum rank required in Potionmaking/Tool Use, and then requiring the player to roll a d20 with a DC of that potion/door/trap's value. For instance, if Knowledge Brew has a minimum skill of 30 (it doesn't, but these potions will probably be altered to fit a D&D-type setting). If somebody has a Potionmaking skill of 10, then that person would have to roll a 20 to successfully make the potion. (And as always, there's always a chance to fail- that is, rolling a 1.)

One thing you could do is that you could introduce aging into your scenario if the player takes a really, really, really long time to finish. Like, if the player takes +3500 days (roughly 10 years), you could start downing their statistics as a result of aging. ;)

RC and Aran- You're both wrong. Avatars only cost SW traffic if they choose to upload them, in which case they can merely restrict avatars to outside sources- and considering how easy it is to get a Photobucket account, this wouldn't be too tough. Also, you can limit file sizes. Maybe not on UBB, but UBB ain't the greatest choice for a board anyway.

Or even better, put it in a place where it can't escape- that is, where it is surrounded on all sides by terrains it cannot move into.
(This works well for areas with tables/chests against a wall, as well as something past the wall it sits in.)
