Thuryl, you've heard of the lab rat study in the 70's where the mother was exposed to stressful conditions, right? Essentially, the gist of it is that mothers who were exposed to stressful conditions during pregnancy released a hormone mid-pregnancy that suppressed the effects of testosterone in mental development by way of outsourcing. Offspring of the stressed mothers exhibitied receptive (female) sexual behavior, despite their being genetically male. The conclusion of this study would be that homosexuality is a natural population control- see, for instance, Lemmings. With respect to homosexual tendencies, because Creator is right for once insomuch as a gay "gene" wouldn't last very long, my hunch is that there is not a gene strictly for homosexuality but rather one for propensity to be affected by the hormones. The Hidden City Spear does 16-96 + 1-6/level damage. This means that it is, at higher levels, only ~50 more damage than a regular spear. Making this weapon 1-7/level and lowering the amount of base damage would be much better- try setting the bonus to 7 and the damage per level to 7. The Hidden City Dagger is REALLY weak. If you want, though, you could make this a "defensive" weapon- that is, give it the special ability of high elemental defenses (somewhere around 30-50%) and maybe some percentage not to be hit in melee. If you give it evasion, though, be sure to take away some of its elemental resistances. Hidden City Longsword is also very weak. I would suggest giving it the same stats as the Hidden City Spear I suggested above, just in case the party doesn't use spears. The Hidden City Short Sword, if it is to be significantly weaker than the Longsword, aught to be better in terms of abilities- for instance, give it a high bonus to hit the enemy, +2 AP, and a few levels in Lethal Blow. The Hidden City Greatsword is WAY TOO POWERFUL!!!. If you want to make it the best weapon in BoA (except for maybe the Adlerauge), give it 11 damage per level instead ... That should do it for the weapons. Oh yeah! Put this way, then- it's Solaria in AtG, E:A, B2, and a bunch of other places in those two arcs. On the other hand, those two arcs are also REALLY late in the Empire's history- near the end. So it's more than likely that it changed names after or during times of political upheaval. Heck, it could change location, even. Just a recommendation- if you have a powerful weapon, make it two-handed. Then, make a really good shield somewhere else in the scenario. My justification for this is the justification for Tetra-Disaster. If you have all explosions at once and then damage, it will: 1) Still take lots of time for the damage 2) Be nonsensical, what with creatures being damaged after being hit I might consider this for v1.0.5, but time is running low.
