Hell no.

I agree.

Because it's clearly the poor's fault that they can't adequately compensate the poor, maligned inventors whose only benefit was a vastly superior and incalculably more expensive education that enabled them to create the devices that only help the worthy portions of humanity.

I wonder, though. If we invent a cure for death, could you consider putting a price on it tantamount to a new holocaust?

If we use the last 50 years as an example, we learn one primary moral- the rich will continue to get better stuff, and some of that will trickle down to the poor, but as technology grows higher and higher, less and less of that technology will improve the lives of the poor.

-Kill Garzahd.

Avernum 3 : - Stop the plagues, find out who is guilty and attempt to take care of that person.

No plot similarity there, in my opinion.

Geneforge : -Find a boat, escape the island and, if possible, do something for or against Trajkov.

Geneforge 2 : Remote valley with 5 factions. Decide who you will help.

Geneforge 3 : War between Creations and Shapers. Again, you have to decide who you should help... But the overall plot is in my opinion quite different from Geneforge 2.

Although I'll admit that there is always a Creation/shaper conflict, but that's part of the Geneforge world, isn't it?

If the world was more intelligent than this, JV would be bankrupt by now.

Thought experiment. I want to see if organized efforts to port scenarios are even possible.

I have a good deal of B's terrains converted (with extra graphics too). I can do the rest with little-to-no problems. If someone wants to help me with nodes and maybe offer up some scripts (although this is not necessary), just post. I want to see how many manhours are required for a project like this.

It depends on the size and complexity. Unbalanced Accounts would be easy and heavily not worth it to the extreme. Bandits would be worth it (by comparison- it's not bad, but it beats most BoA scenarios), but it wouldn't be AS easy. Converting NTH would be somewhere around "impossible," but if you could think of a way to do it, it would be incredibly worthwhile.

If we could gather a group of people to convert a BoE scenario, we could see just how many manhours need to be put in.

Absolutely horrible. Be prepared to re-write scripts by yourself, and the towns/outdoors will be completely butchered.

I tried it for RoR, but when I found out how absolutely intolerable it was, I just decided to re-write the scenario from scratch.

It's better than re-writing it for longer scenarios, though.

EDIT: Ash, replied to your email.

Also, remember- when inputting coordinates, the x and y values go in the opposite order. That's a good way to trip people up.
And Ash... Nicely done. :P

If you practice moral calculus, you've already lost. I mean, simply based on the odds that you'll become another Hitler, I could justify killing any number of you. A "final solution" to the "Hitler question," if you will.
