If you have a half-finished graphic sitting around, submit it! Remember, the deadline is October 1st. Specifically, October 1st at 11:59 PM Central (1:00 AM EST on Oct 2); anything that comes in after I check my mail on that very second doesn't count. -------------------- * Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

Good news is that I have 97 graphics total. Bad news is that the Original Floors, Edited Floors and Dialogue categories have very few entries- 4, 2 and 1 respectively! I will likely end up combining Original and Edited Floors into one category, and the single dialogue pic will likely be added to Splash Screens as well. Other than that, there are more than enough graphics to make the October 1st deadline work. -------------------- * Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

I'd much rather you say nothing at all, but limiting yourself to three sentences is a nice start. -------------------- 人 た ち を 燃 え る た め に 俺 は か れ ら に 火 を 上 げ る か ら 死 ん だ Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

That ain't true. Falling Stars ends with you not under direct attack and not in total terror. Which is to say, there are no immediate, impending tasks calling your attention at the end of Falling Stars. If it ended immediately before the fight with Legion, it'd be truly without an ending. Isle of Boredom wakes up AFTER the harrowing dream. Well, there are things to do, but there's a pause in the storyline- Saying "you have to do things!" is suspenseful, but saying "you have to do things NOW!" and then ending has even less resolution. -------------------- * Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

Most of my scenarios stand alone to some degree. Actually, come to think of it, virtually every Blades scenario has some degree of resolution. Some leave things hanging (B2), whereas others pack everything away nicely (2S). Nevertheless, you're always given some sort of ending. I suppose this would make the Inn of Blades an example of structural postmodernism, then. ^_- -------------------- * Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

35 is the minimal level requirement for Canopy. It will be, if not tougher, more interesting than any other scenario thusfar combat-wise. After all, most of the BoA scenarios out thusfar are coded better than most of Jeff's efforts- and for better or worse, Canopy is rife with wizardry. It's really close to completion, I just have to wrap things up and send off a beta version. -------------------- * Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

The point of RoR is to beat the player upside the head out of anger. Basically, RoR is to the comments on NTH what EM is to the inflated scores of the other BoA scenarios-- my entire BoA oeuvre thusfar is all out of spite. -------------------- * Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

Correction on number 2. You, sir, have never had a fine, German lager. Herrnbräu. Mmm. ^_^ Hofbräuhaus. Mmm. ^_^ (Virtually anything that comes out of that country is better than the average piss-poor beers available here. Which is to say, the beers actually taste good- after a few of those varieties, the rest of the evening involves drinking said soft drinks with the intent of burping to experience the aftertaste. Don't get me started on the unfiltereds... o___o I'd say something about "I know how to hold my alcohol," but that's just not true. There's no skill involved, just tremendous size. I'd probably have to deliberately try to get drunk.) -------------------- 私のバラドですそしてころしたいいらればころす Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |

I just replayed Nethergate as a 1PC Roman. I have slain Reptrakos, the Raven, Hagfen, the Faerie Bazaar (by way of hunting everybody in it down like dogs), Vanarium, the Hollow Hills, Selkiehome, and practically every other friendly town in the game. By game's end, Faerie Warriors had a 0% chance to hit me (and once, a Fomorian threw a javelin my way with -90% accuracy!) and Faerie Warriors with the fire scepters did no damage to me. Question, though- is it as easy with Celts? -------------------- * Posts: 6936 | Registered: Tuesday, September 18 2001 07:00 |
