Luz Piazuelo's Mage came in first, followed closely by Kalinging Song's Machine and Mercenary. Despite winning her category, however, Luz' 23 points is not as much as the 27 points scored by Kalinging Song overall in this category. Congratulations to the both of you, and thanks to all of the participants! And last but not least, thanks to the judges- especially the two "pinch" judges I had to call in at last moment to break the tie between the Mage and Machine.

(Unorthodox judging, you say? Well, first of all, I want to guarantee a clear first place finisher as not to give out too many points. Second, I'm in charge of judging elligibility due to section 3.4 of the rules. Thanks for your understanding.)

How can I not be aware of what people associate it as? Don't make it right. I'm not sure whether I should be more irritated by his clear rhetorical symptoms of ideological obediance towards cold-war "socialism is the bad guy" compassionate-conservative think tanks or by the speed he dismissed me at which also shows a fair degree of ignorance.

It's a tough choice. All I know is that paradoxes win again today.

JV (king of "everything must work") has made sure that you gain levels without fighting. Every quest gives you EXP after completing it, and these quests often don't require fighting. Plus, there's experience for disarming mines...

I'd say it's possible. I wouldn't waste my time, but it's possible.

Executive decision:

ADoS' graphics have been stuffed together, greatly decreasing the items category. It has moved up to Oct 30 (fourth category) for judging accordingly. This shouldn't be a problem since over three weeks remain before the deadline for items anyway, I just wanted to let y'all know.

Kalinging, taken from the rules...

3.2. Judging is done in categories. Judges may only give scores in categories where they have no entries.

Valorim is an anomaly- remember, it's under quarantine.

Avernum is also, quite obviously, not the same as the Empire- in many ways, it too is a frontier. (I wonder, then, what the caves would be like during E3? Not that I care much- they'd probably be Free and full of Liberty anyway. Far be it from Jeff to take a concept somewhere interesting.)
