The combat in Avernum, compared to Exile, has kind of been superpowered, if that's the right word. Everyone is so fragile. It's not uncommon for a mediocore fighter with mediocore weapons to be shelling out 100 damage a hit, a magnitude reserved only for good Kill spells in Exile. One little flame from an opponent leaves a low-level PC practically out of comission. I don't know if I like that. The second stone circle you visit is the most common place. There's a stone circle on the Isle of Bigail in the mountains, above Fort Emergence through a secret passage in the mountains, and inside a circular hill northwest of Storm Port, though you'll need to fly to get there. There's also two more farther north. Also, a couple people sell it, though I don't know who. Once you get it, you won't be able to use it unless you have a sapphire. I used to have two cats, but they got left in Montana. Being both fertile males that were rarely allowed inside, they'd never survive the trip to Oregon. So no pets now. Though my grandparents, who now live 7 blocks away, have a ****zu we take on walks every once in a while. EDIT: Amusingly enough, UBB's autocensor works surprisingly well for something on UBB. Yeah it does! :D :D :D :D For a second there, I though I had a custom title. However, even though, I still have something showing me better than those 2000s underachievers. :P I don't know if I initially like this all that much. This is the first major rebunking of the title list since the start of UBB, no? All that tradition, all those goals, everything down the drain. But then again, on second though, I like the increments in this one better, guaranteeing me a title on my next two thousands, and people can get used to it. So keep it. Lastly, I would also want to say that Alorael can stop changing his moniker now. Even if you don't have a custom title, you sure haven't deserved it. Ask the quickghast about "fangs", or if you want to fight him, "teeth". I think there's a secret passage immediately above his seat with a button. Push that button, and a hole in the wall appears somewhere. Push the button in that hole. Continue for about three times until you can get out. That's for the one on the Isle of Bigail, if that's the crypt you meant.
