Ask the quickghast about "fangs", or if you want to fight him, "teeth". I think there's a secret passage immediately above his seat with a button. Push that button, and a hole in the wall appears somewhere. Push the button in that hole. Continue for about three times until you can get out. That's for the one on the Isle of Bigail, if that's the crypt you meant. Try casting move mountains on the walls around the quikgast until you get into the room with the ruby skeleton.
