Well, as soon as you get the hang of SDFs, you'll want to use them like heck, so it's a good idea to keep track of what SDF you used where, to avoid any confusion, and most of all, double uses of the same flag, which is the cause of many a hard-to find bug.

I wonder if possibly a section of your hard drive was damaged or something. I suppose that would limit access to certain files to that section, if you've experienced any such problem.

Or maybe something was automatically installed on your computer via the Internet. You know, Windows Updates, service packs, etc.

If disk defragmenter doesn't help the situation out, you may just have to accept the fact that your hard drive has only one gigabyte of space left.

He he, lucky me, I have a wind generator in the back. a fair size one too, probably seven feet in diameter. But even with the wind we get, it still takes a while to charge a standard car battery. We only use it for a couple lights in our house and to run the fridge every once in a while. Yes, my computer is still eating up the coal. :P

And math is so much better than English.

Anyway, English is a skill you will need in life, Harvard professer or not. The more English, you have, the better your communication skills, reading speed and comprehension, composition skills, and basically the better you are with interacting with other people and sharing your ideas in an effective manner.

Without English, it's hard to succeed in anything else. (I guess the same goes for math, too, and I'm surprised most school don't require four credits of that as well.)

Okay, what stuff done flags are is a grid of size 10x300. In each cell is an integer value that defaults to zero and can be changed, requested, or otherwise manipulated by certain special nodes.

Stuff Done Flag A is the vertical coordinate of the stuff done flag you're referring to, and SDF B is the horizontal coordinate.

Therefore, SDF A must be between 0 and 299 while SDF B must be between 0 and 9.

Or you could try Start - Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Scan Disk (or Disk Cleanup, or whatever it says).

Hmmm. Anyway, I never knew a computer could use a HD for RAM. I'd wager it's quite a bit slower memory when it has to resort to that.

Unfortunately, however, I am devoid of good car crash stories to relate. For me anyway. Quite a while back, someone lost control, skidded a few times across the road, and ended up in our front yard in an overturned rig. That was quite exciting, though I was young and can't remember many details.

Most executables are fine to download as long as you just clicked the download link and it's something you want. Strange E-mail attachments you definately want to watch out for, though.
