And so on! Peachy idea for a picture, but there really doesn't seem to be much of a point to it. Maybe put something outstanding in the middle, like a person or a huge rock or something.[/QB]
Well, the point of it is that I've never drawn scenery or a background before, so I just took the idea and ran with it to see what I wcould come up with. =^.^= Thanks for all of your feedback, though.

Ben - http://factcheck.org. This site examines every statement made by every American Presidential candidate and their supports...and it turns out that almost all of them continually spout distortions. Interesting read, and that's coming from someone who normally isn't interested in politics at all.

And I'm surprised no one's posted this yet...

Once, there was this greeeeen goblin...
And he would, uh...look arouuund...
And then he'd, um...do a daaaance...

=^.^=;

I'll try harder to come up with a good story for my next post, really.

Edited: because I forgot to put the slash in /URL. =^.^=;

Here's a scary story...

My friend Kharon started making a 3D rendering of part of the terrain of his conworld Atrusius today. He has to make it from scratch using over 16,442 points, and he has to configure each one manually.

And he's not even a hundreth of the way done yet.

Hmm...I was saving the shading and the leaves for colorization, but I see what you mean about the twisted branches and stuff. *Drawdrawdrawdrawdrawdrawdraw*

And it's a background, sort of. Thuryl originally gave me the idea. He was trying to suggest things that I don't usually draw, and this idea just formed in my head, so now I'm probably going to put in some characters drawn seperately in Photoshop and make it one coherent piece. =^.^=

By the way, does anyone know how to make decent-looking beams of light, or those sparkles that represent clear directional light in anime?

Well, the friends you make online are still people after all, and it's not like Internet communication is an emotionless void...

I consider them to be real friends. Most of them know me better than anyone else, and a couple even have my phone number (heh, talking to them for the first time was a weird experience =^.^= ). And if one of them died...well, that would be horrible. I'm not sure what I'd do (although just to clarify, self-destruction doesn't appeal to me). I really hope that never happens, especially with a friend possibly having to go into the military...hopefully he won't have to, though.

Actually, I've had this theory for a while...the Internet allows complete freedom of action. No one can impose rules more strongly than any other person can except in their own domain. So, is the Internet a measure of the way people really are? On a strictly individual basis, I mean - I'm not trying to point to some greater truth about life or nature or anything.

Even if someone is trolling with a false personality or posting anonymously, that still gives an indication as to what kind of person they are...

I'm sorry about this. I didn't want to look like I'm just turning this board into a dumping ground for my drawings. But I'm seriously frustrated on this one.

It's just...missing something. I stayed up until 5 AM last night thinking about it, and I have almost nothing. So...I turn to you.

Also, there's a pretty good chance that it'll hit me about twenty minutes after I post, which is just more incentive to hurry up. =^.^=

Edit: I just wanted to add that I really like the way it's turned out so far, but it just seems like if it had a little something more it could be a lot better. Nya... =@.@=

You know, I read an interesting sentiment recently - "You'd have to be a megalomaniac to think that you're fit to represent all of the people in your province/state/country."

And then someone else's response...that only people who don't want to become leaders should be allowed to be leaders.

Really, think about it. =^.^=

Um, I have a question. What about the people who were using cars and didn't have any other choice, like if they were making a long trip or moving a heavy load? What if they were transporting small children or people with delicate medical conditions? What did they do to be inconvenienced, stuck in hot, stifling traffic for two hours?

No hostility, just my view.

I've been wondering what one of these tastes like, or if it's even safe to eat. Note the complete lack of chocolate on the candy itself. =^.^=

As for favorite snacks...well, I enjoy cookies, of course. Especially ones with various types of chocolate and mint baked into them. Bonus points for macedemia nuts. I've also been known to enjoy mint, cookie dough and rocky road ice cream and Pop-Tarts. =^.^=;

Data Transfer per month... in General
Warrior
Member # 4537
Profile Homepage #2
Well, I'd guess that by "data transfer" they mean "bandwidth" which is basically the amount of data that you're allowed to, well, transfer back and forth from your account per whatever time period they specify. Uploads and downloads (including visitors viewing your site) all use bandwidth.

Usually exceeding this limit will result in either extra charges or blocking access to your site until either you purchase extra bandwidth or the time period expires and your bandwidth limit resets.

Edit: *Blink* Thuryl beat me to it. =^.^=;

I've heard prices ranging anywhere from five dollars US a year to fifteen or twenty. Some registrars charge extra for certain types (like .com, .org, and so on) for some reason.

http://hostultra.com

There's the host my site is on. They also provide domain registration, and so far their service seems reliable. Good luck! =^.^=

Yep. There's actually one at my site right now, but all but one or two of the drawings there are

a) Very old, and
b) Very bad.

View only with protective eyewear. =^.^=

I will have the new and/or improved stuff up soon, though. I promise. =^.^=

David - Um, do you mean the cattaur is sexy, or that Sealand is sexy? =^.^=

Maveriq - Yeah. I guess you could try to found a nation on a giant blimp or something, but you'd still have to land within other countries' limits for maintenance every once in a while. Or you could just put a bunch of really strong magnets in your city's foundation and hope the planetary magnetic force under you stays constant... =^.^=

ADoS - Thanks, but how exactly do the legs look odd? Are they too close to the same width throughout their length?

Whoa. Kitty face overload... =@.@=

It actually doesn't look familiar to me at all, but the closest thing I can come up with is the stylized "f" symbol on Macs, often used to abbreviate "folder".

I was looking around randomly yesterday and I stumbled across this...

http://www.sealandgov.com/history.html

Sealand is actually a former anti-aircraft defense platform that was just outside of the nautical territory of England at the time it was formed. A former British military officer took his family there, declared it the Principality of Sealand, and named himself and his wife the Prince and Princess of Sealand, which was later upheld in courts.

I just thought that this was interesting. Today it's home to the world's first "data haven" - a data storage system in an unrestricted, unlegislated area. Too bad most of the world's other countries haven't recognized it - I think it would be neat to actually have a country with no "natural" landmasses.

And, um...stuff. =^.^=;

(Note: The picture in the second link (a cattaur) contains "mannequin nudity" or "anime nudity" depending on which term you like better. This means that although the subject is unclothed, nothing anatomically correct is actually shown. Sorry. =^.^=
It also still has a few issues I need to work out, like the hindpaws, but for the most part this is the finished lineart. Comments are welcome, as always.)

To Sealand, brave fellowship...to freedom! =^.^= *Considers the possibility of a Sealand RPG*
