A2, finding the athame, push crap into water every time you resurface on the top level.) So I guess thats my only suggestion, probably a hard one to achieve though, for in order for you to make the player think, you have to do twice the thinking yourself. So good luck.
Another problem is that nobody talks about puzzles because while they may be hard to do,m they're easily copiable, and somebody else could make a version of your own idea, before you have your version out.

Unfortunately, thats the reason I can't talk about my puzzle sceanrio.

Edit: and the registration code for it of course

If needed I could host the Registered Subterra Pref Files. Anyone with a registered version can send it to me, or anything. (I'm not asking for a code, since I already have it!!!).

But it's up to Radiant!

What's you favourite part of Nethergate?

My personal favourite is the fact that you can choose between celts and romans, as well as each having different traits and abilities. I wish that the differences in BoA were like that. If each RACE had it's own abilities, like divinely touched, etc., it would be so much better and challenging!

I haven't played THAT many myself. Ages ago I would have said Exile 3, then I would have said Blads of Exile, A short while ago Avernum 3, and now I'll stick to BoA, until BoG comes out at least.

Depends how big the file is... SOme places allow you to host files and stuff for unlimited bandwidth. I know for sure that AOL has a 2 MB free fttp thing. Anyone with a space like that could host it. (I would if it wasn't over 2 MBs).

With Mac OS X 10.3.5, I'm having several troubles with BoE.

First, ResEdit will not work to create a .MEG file. I have downloaded new copies of ResEdit, bumped memory up on it, etc. No go. It either crashes when I attempt to paste an image into a file, or it refuses to paste it. I've used ResEdit for over 10 years, BoE for at least 6, and previously created dozens of MEG files, so I know it's not me.

Second, the Character Editor is very flaky. If you are in millions of colors and start the editor, it will crash the first time when you try to save a file, even if you've switched to 256 color mode. If you then reload it (while still in 256 color mode) it will limp along.

Even if you do get it to work, sometimes when you try to add spells to a character, the text in the dialog box that names each spell is absent. So, you have several rows of checkboxes with no descriptive text. What fun!

Also, the icon for the Character Editor has changed to the default application icon in OS X - two sheets of paper with a pencil, brush, and ruler on the bottom of the paper.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

If it was up to me, I'd say that you had an older version of BoE, one which doesn't accept your newer version of Mac.

I mean, that's what the problem would be on Windows...

They can't be that different, can they?

Probably the best monster, is one which adapts to the party's weapons (increases resistances per attack), and also changes it's own level to be constantly higher than the party's (say, five levels higher). As such, a scenario like that will be perfect for all levels of party. However, since I'm not a great scripter, that idea is far into the future... for me.

Guys,

If you somehow failed to understand Kelandon, email the following information to;

The Name it was ordered under
The Address it was ordered under
The Postcode it was ordered under
Also, the new code that the version gives you (the counter-code to jeff's)

WHAT TO SAY
It's probably best to start off with saying something like...

Mr Vogel,

I am sorry, but I appear to have lost my registration code for Blades of Avernum. Could you please send me my new one. My new code is ______.

My details are;

We could combine this with Keep's bugs topic in the final e-mail.

DSon't JUST email jeff, send him the first page of the topic over by email, using the "UBB Email" system. Give him a little message in your email, ORDERING, or at least ASKING him to read all three pages, and he'll kinda get the gist. It's all very well for someone to say something in an email, like saying two designers have already threatened to quit, but it's better if he can actually SEE and READ it himself.

- Archmagi Micael

Oh, and in that earlier topic, the one with the pic onloy 11KBs, BoA doesn't accept JPEGs, and in BMP format it's more like 250KBs, each!
