I'm not sure, but I'd say your best chance would be to try and find an SDF within the code that if you changed via the Editor, you'd save yourself from doom. I don't have a clue how you'd do this, so an easier alternative would be to just use the Character Editor to remove your party from ASR and pretend that you beat it.

I solved the error with the running out of time thing, and I'm currently trying to send the fixed script to Spiderweb without screwing up the attachment somehow. My latest attempt may succeed, but we'll see.

I have A Perfect Forest also. It came with Blades of Avernum, 'cause I don't remember downloading anything else...

I would be really surprised if the whole thing didn't come across as odd. If it didn't, then I've failed my mission.

Apparently it seems somehow your unfinished version of A Perfect Forest ended up in the Vogel computer in the Scenarios folder when Jeff was compressing the newer version of BoA...

Quite strange.

There is a way to exit the dungeon. When you hop down from the cliff, if you keep following the path past the stairs downward you'll reach a point where you can go through secret walls to reach the first room.

D'oh! I guess I better fix this one.

My scenario is finally complete. It's up on the Spiderweb archive, so now I can cease feeling guilty about leaving my work undone. Enjoy!

What's unplayable about NWN? Are you referring to the high requirements for one's computer or are you saying it stinks?

I've only recently been able to play it now that I got my (AWESOME) new computer. *wide grin*

BoA is probably going to be the worse choice until a dozen more scenarios come out, if they're good. I personally like NWN a lot, for a few reasons.

(a) NWN has nice graphics, albeit this is a minor point.
(b) NWN is more widely supported (patches, upgrades, etc.)
(c) NWN is multiplayer (a big plus for me) and it can be used over the net for either a normal game or an experience similar to that of a small MMORPG.
(d) My halfling cleric kicks ass.

Eventually BoA may gain the upper hand, but not until there's some more scenarios out.

Forgive me; due to an inexplicable data loss ("Mail" on my old computer no longer runs!) I have to ask everyone who helped me test to post here with what name you want to be known by in the credits of my scenario. I expect everyone is fed up with me by now, but I assure you, I will submit the scenario three days from now. I apologize again, but anyone who doesn't respond (and whose name I cannot recall off the top of my head) will not be listed in the credits.

Thanks for putting up with me and my incompetency. That is all.

Just because you have a quote from Fighter in your signature does not mean you have to act like him.

I'm getting there. I simply need to finish up the docs and it's finished. Sorry for the delay, but a change of machines (G4 iBook! WOOHOO!) slowed me up a bit. Once I reconfiguratify my mail and such and get all my emails together, I can finish.

It'll be out soon.

Command + Tab will get you out of BoA and into the Finder, but I don't know how to make BoA into window mode, if it's possible.

Once you pull the lever, the door in the quickfire room is unlocked. From there you kill the remaining enemies and then you get to leave.

Woops! I think I found an error in your cookbook.

begintalknode 11;
    state = 4;
    nextstate = 5;
    question = "_open sesame_";
    text1 = "The guard scowls.  _All right, you can come in._";

The players would literally see _open sesame_ as an option-- the "_" don't translate to quotes in the question.

Other than that, it's excellent!

Something close to that... About a few hours after I created this thread, my dog knocked a bunch of soda on the modem, knocking out my net connection. My access to the internet is much more limited now, but I'll try to keep the beta testing process going.

I'll check my email/send emails soon enough, but I have to go for now. Thanks for your patience.

I've made a scenario and it needs betatesters. Its not the greatest thing, but its fairly short and kind of decent, I think. If you want to volunteer, then drop me a line at "sean@haydenaud.com" without the quotes, or provide me with your own email here so I can send you the scenario. Thanks to all those who volunteer.

I'd play D&D if I had the opportunity. The only times I've played and enjoyed it are few, due to a lack of decent DMs / players.

But recently I have no friends who participate in such. Is there any way to play D&D and yet not leave my comfy chair? If there is, let me know, and if there isn't, well, then, that stinks.

What levels are your characters? If you're having trouble you may want to find some way to raise them up a little before you try Za-Khazi.

You would have to take into account the fact that in the outdoors, animations don't work. Other than that, I think what you're saying is possible.

About the status icons and alerting the player about when it runs out, you can use print_str() to say that it wore off.
