It seems that the Shadowvale database is rapidly replacing the SW tables, in my opinion. I can't remember the last time I actually checked SW's tables... That, and the reviews of scenarios haven't changed in ages, perhaps because almost everyone knows to go to the Lyceum for that. Thus, a lot of scenarios are stuck in Untried and middle-weight when they should be up in the 'quality' section. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. Alright, we've definitely done this before, because this: quote:...is too familiar. Anyway, I think I remember getting here because I needed help in A3... and then I heard about BoA and excitedly lurked. Then, I set foot in General, and the rest is old news. :P quote:I'm thankful I don't know the real reason, though I can hazard guesses. :P -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. Hm... there are a lot of possibilities. And none of them make sense. The games are out for Mac, PC, and dual-core. That's it. None of them are headed for the abandonware heap anytime soon, either. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. I really, really, really, really hate undead. Two mages and two priests, provided that you give one of each some melee skill, and give two of them archery skills. You'll pretty much level everything. -------------------- Thuryl: "Runescape: for people who are too stupid to save their games." Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. Well, it'd be difficult... and Avernum's allure has typically been equal parts atmosphere and combat. So, making a new version focused on combat would... erm... A4? And I could kind of see a way of making decisions with two separate parties working together, but it'd be messy. And then there'd be situations where the parties would split up, and... Eh, too complex. Try out Blades of Avernum instead. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. I really, really, really, really hate undead. With a passion. It's a lot easier if you can get the skill points to give your fighter one level of mage/priest spells. Then, the mung demons will try to dumfound the fighter, rendering them ineffective. Basically, haste and bless your fighter as much as possible, hand them Demonslayer, haste your priest to allow for healing and demon-smiting in the same round, and Slow the other demons (if it's possible... I can't remember). After a handful of reloads, I got this to work in A1. -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I hate undead. I really, really, really, really hate undead.
