I just bought a noo boat, on which I will tend to wallo loudly in my brand noo bathing suit. It comes complete with a loo, lights and a deck big enough for a gnoo but not big enough for an elephant.

I don't really care. You see, this is an online forum, it is the internet. Now, if I would see you guys regularly (that is, in person), and not only the product of using a keyboard for approximately 3 minutes, then I would care about it.
This seems to be a common theme amongst forum denizens. Why on earth does the venue matter? A person's morals stay the same regardless of fear of exposure. If you are implying that the internet allows you the freedom to be the person you are, then so be it. I would hesitate, however, to be your friend if your primary reason for polite behaviour was not a sincere desire to be polite, but instead a compulsion to follow societal norms without regard for your inner being.

*Sigh*

let me get some things straight here. A person can act on the internet as he is or not. What he is people will never really know untill they see him in real life. Only then, in my opinion, one can judge a person. Of course you can judge a person without ever have seen him, but it's not a very reliable judgement, won't you think? I might act totally differently in real life, I might not. generally I act here as I would act in real life. That means I am polite most of the time, but when i get irritated enough I will stop being polite.

That's that, now back to what I said and meant. I fear you might have understood me wrong. I wasn't implying that i don't care about whatever I say. People here have just the same amount of feelings as my friends at school (or maybe not, I can't see you, don't know you), so I don't see a reason to provoke people unnecesarily. What I am saying, is that i don't really care about people saying lol all the time, for example. That is, as long as it stays a joke, like with Kelandon's lol post.

To make a long story short: As long as it's not getting to a state in which people start provoking each other, I don't really care about this trivial stuff (like the "lol" saying. I hate the word, but I won't start a war over it). In real life I probably act as i act on the internet, which means I am as polite here as I would be in real life. I don't see a need not to be polite, except when somebody provokes me and gets me irritated or angered. I also don't see a reason to follow the internet heard (if that's the right spelling).

If you would like to continue this discussion, Salmon, shall we do it with PM or AIM then?

I do very much hope you're not referring to Tullegolar. :P

Dikiyoba is sure he was referring to the chicken-loving Emperor of Riverrod. :P

Mh.

After spending a few years online, this way of communication has gained some sense of tangibility to me. I definitely try to be as polite online as offline...

(Well, part of the reason is that it will end up eternally stored on Google a week later. Makes you very, very polite.)

Psst. Guess what? I'm not really a death-dealing psychopathic Evil Overlord.

I'm merely a death-dealing Evil Overlord.

According to you. Wasn't that random and off-topic, no matter which of the branches this topic has taken you are following?

You're absolutely right; my post above had nothing to do with the topics being discussed. The only reason I made it is that a high post count has been empirically linked to sex appeal.

EDIT: Definite articles? We don't need no stinkin' definite articles.

Marriage is a big deal in India. One of my cousins back in India wasn't allowed to marry because we hadn't given the brides family enough cows! Not enough cows! You see, in India it is a pick up line to go up to a girl in a bar and say, 'Hey, I got 5 cows out back that say you are coming home with me.'

I really want to see Tull in a sexy red slip now.

—Alorael, who has always been perfectly open about his quirks. Excessively open, even. All this reminds him that it's time to down a few gallons of fictitious drug and then start performing illegal, violent action at a distance upon pedestrians.

Ooo, kinky Alorael. You're probably the only person on these boards I would wear a sexy red slip for. I might wear one for Stareye, too, but only because I know he doesn't want to see me in one.

To hasten our reckoning with the macabre, I would suggest a sheer fabric.

Speaking of Dikiyoba's "ausome" story(although we're not really speaking about it, but that's what the thread is about), when will the next chapter come.

Hopefully after he sees this. I want all those sexy garments included (pauses quietly while choosing faux fur and something in a sheer fabric from his closet) as it will really spice up the forums.

She. And Tully, I'm touched. Really, I am.

—Alorael, who thinks he's most definitely doing something wrong to get the Emperor's approbation or a close facsimile thereof. Was it the pedestrians?

If you're speaking of Dikiyoba, you got the pronoun wrong. Don't worry, we all did for a while. :P

This is bordering on inappropriate and vile. Which I suppose is par for the course here.

I think that this gender confusion means that we're due up for a photo thread.
Tully... go ahead and wear that slip. I dare you.

...On second thought, never mind. I don't want us all scarred for life.
