That has the same error as the previous one. You cannot divide 0 by 0 and think that everything will come out alright. -------------------- Lt. Sullust Cogito Ergo Sum Polaris Posts: 2462 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

The flaw there is that you can't divide 0/0 which is what you attempt when you take (x-x)/(x-x). -------------------- Lt. Sullust Cogito Ergo Sum Polaris Posts: 2462 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

OOC: It is dying...it is dying fast... IC: Sullust was perplexed. The last of the vahnatai were thought to have been wiped off of Ermarian ages ago by the plague. Why would they continue such a bitter and violent battle. He walked in to greet ef. "Ha, he has no idea how wrong he is. There is no good or evil anymore, it has all blended together." Sullust joked. "Indeed, things seem to be getting very strange. First tacos, now the extinct vahnatai?" -------------------- Lt. OOC: Emergency Posting Activated! IC: Just as the shuttle is about to collide with the Spiderprise someone manages to turn on the tractor beam. The shuttle is slowed enough that it only bounces off the hull of the ship. However, the bounce is strong enough to all Sullust to free himself from the cheese prison. He tosses an emergency phase shift grenade into the cockpit and activates his emergency teleportation beacon. Within a few seconds he finds himself back on the Spiderprise. Onboard he immediately hears of the commotion involving Sherlock and some mysterious agent onboard the ship. Sullust rushes to the area and finds objects swiftly flying through the air towards the one he had learned was named Moriarty. "Stop!" Sullust shouts. "This has nothing to do with you Sullust, stay out of this." Sherlock adds. "Then you leave me no choice. Computer emergency code Sullust0032." "Secondary Code required." "Logalot0585." Logalot chimes in. "Codes accepted." Immediately transparisteel walls slide down barring Moriarty and Sherlock in the room. Then gas quickly surges into the chamber. Both fall to the floor in a deep sleep. "I'll go get the security teams to prepare the containment cells," Sullust finishes and then runs down the hallway. -------------------- Lt. Yes, it now does occur to me that I am horribly mistaken. But everything will be alright soon enough. I'm brushing up on my chemistry knowledge. It is a shame that TM is trying to claim the rule that zero multiplied by any number is zero is his own idea...imagine that a trademark stealing a trademark -------------------- Lt. Despite the obviousness that that is spam. All of your theories are extremely flawed. I'll start with 3 and work my way backwards... 3. There is no way you can even compare moles to weight unless you know the temperature in the given situation. 2.I'll cover this at the end in my summation. Because for all I know this one might actually be correct. 1. I'm sure that is true for some values. However, not for the ones you suggested. Perhaps I don't understand the math. Or perhaps you just mean to say that everything you get your hands on becomes worthless [ Thursday, September 11, 2003 10:19: Message edited by: Lt. Sullust ] -------------------- Lt. OOC: HMNIB :P IC: After a few minutes Sullust manage to come back from his unconcious state. However, he couldn't do much of anything. The creature had managed to tie up to a wall with melted cheese. The bonds were to thick for Sullust to break. He looked towards the pilots seat and he saw...himself?! 'Must be one of those shape-changing hardshell inside a softshell with cheese inbetween tacos.' He thought to himself. Slowly, the Spiderprise drifted into view on the main screen. But they were moving too fast for docking speed... -------------------- Lt. OOC: Actually, I was hoping that someone snuck onboard the shuttle. IC: Suddenly a message comes through on the shuttle's intercom. "Sullust we've discovered some very important information. Get back to the ship immediately." "How important?" "This could change everything about the mission." "Alright, I'm coming back." With the pressing of a few buttons Sullust turns the shuttle 180 degrees and heads back towards the Spiderprise. [ Wednesday, September 10, 2003 02:30: Message edited by: Lt. OOC: I never ever want to hear Logalot call me sir again. IC: "Well Logalot, it looks like he won't be able to make the trip with me. I'll have to deal with him later. Although I was hoping for his expertise down on the surface." "We can't afford to delay the mission any longer." "Mr. Holmes, I believe you have the dagger from the storage cell. I'm going to need that for the mission." Sherlock hands over the blade to Sullust. Sullust then immediately runs to Shuttle #5 and departs towards the planets surface. He doesn't bother to check if anyone else is in the shuttle when he leaves. -------------------- Lt. Sullust Cogito Ergo Sum Polaris Posts: 2462 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

In Logalot's Quarters:(Sullust & Logalot) "Logalot, it's time, how many hours until we are within range of the planet." "I'm not sure, the attacks in the ion storm slowed us down a bit. The navigation system is still a bit glitchy." "That won't do us any good. Perhaps I could take one of the shuttles and meet up with the Spiderprise later." "I don't like that idea Sullust. You'd be all alone down there and who knows how long it would take us to send in reinforcements if they are necessary." "Then you can send someone from the crew with me." "Fine." "Well, while your searching for the candidate, I'm going to be loading the device into Shuttle #5." -------------------- Lt. OOC: And I thought you only got into trouble if you spelled Alorael's name wrong. IC: It depends one when the war starts, and how long it will last. The vahnatai need to rest eventually. This would cause major problems for them. Although there is nothing stopping them from creating superior mushrooms... -------------------- Lt. For the first few minutes Sullust was amazed by the complexity of the creature. It appeard to be a circle of skin which was then folded neatly around the insides. There were two holes, one in the bottom and one at the top. He didn't want to know what either of them were for. He set his pulse rifle to frag and aimed it at one of them. After a few seconds it exploded, it's insides covered the entire room. "Tastes like beans," replied Motrax. Sullust gave him a glare and then proceeded to take aim at the next creature. "Maybe this one has some cheese," the dragon inquired. "Shutup Motrax. I can't aim with you talking about stuff like that." Sullust shouted. -------------------- Lt. You cannot compare groups of PC's in this war. They are exceptions. If you had played as the vahnatai in any of the games you would be saying the vahnatai could destroy everyone. As for numbers, no one is quite sure how big the Slith or Vahnatai populations actually are. -------------------- Lt. If the Vahnatai make it they can certainly break it... EDIT: It is very difficult to blink if you keep your eyes aimed upward. You cannot open your eyelids if you are looking upward while they are closed. How does the smiley do it? [ Sunday, September 07, 2003 04:01: Message edited by: Lt. Sullust ] -------------------- Lt. With the mysteries already solved Sullust decided to head up to Logalot's quarters for a brief chat about his mission parameters. The door slid open with a rather depressing hum. "You better lock it Logo, we can't have anyone listening." "Very well." The press of a small button caused the door to slam shut. A clicking sound indicated that it had locked as well. "How far are we from the designated drop zone?" "We have about two more days worth of travel before we arrive. Then you'll have eight hours to complete the mission while we orbit the planet." "Time is gonna be tight. Where is the device?" "It is currently being held in storage bay 4. I've managed to keep the crew from messing around in there. There is the occasional cleaning bot; however, they don't take the time to search the cargo containers." "You think this will finally end it?" "No, this is only the beginning." -------------------- Lt. Sullust Cogito Ergo Sum Polaris Posts: 2462 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

Sullust immediately sought to find out who would pull off such a heinous crime. He dabbed his finger in the graffiti and tasted it. It was minty, too minty for his own personal tastes. He also noted a hint of something else he couldn't identify. 'This is not what I came here for,' Sullust thought to himself. "Computer Output Message: All crew members are to bring their toothpaste to the science lab for testing." The computer repeated the statement in a monotone hum. -------------------- Lt.
