If you're loaded on energy potions you could cut a tunnel through the quickfire. Casting antimagic cloud gives a chance of clearing away quickfire. In this case you can cast a fire barrier. Utilizing this technique you can slowly form a tunnel of clear space to walk through. However, I only suggest this method if you are really bored. -------------------- Lt. There is a random number generator; however, you'd have to use up several nodes to even place a party randomly in a small section of a town. -------------------- Lt. Sullust Cogito Ergo Sum Polaris Posts: 2462 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

I wasn't irritated by the lack of replies. Rather it was the fact that people who replied didn't give the answer, but rather just admitted that they don't know the answer. -------------------- Lt. Sullust Cogito Ergo Sum Polaris Posts: 2462 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

You could just always leave the chat window open, then you'd never miss a thing... EDIT: Apparently a few others have had this idea as well. I don't understand. I can access the original topic perfectly. EDIT: Apparently by perfectly I meant only the first and last two pages. Perhaps it should be allowed to die peacefully anyhow. I seem to have forgotten, and I think an answer can be provided faster than I'm willing to test it. If are description Rectangles overlap, which one gets displayed, the one placed first or the one placed last? Also, don't ask why I want to know this. -------------------- Lt. I refuse to accept that there is not a method to make an object invisible to any amount of observers. However, I do agree that the current proposed method will not handle said situation. -------------------- Lt. The energy of the magnets would eventually dissipate due to friction. Also, anything that drew on the energy of such a system would dissipate the energy. It is important to remember that energy cannot be created. -------------------- Lt. Sullust Cogito Ergo Sum Polaris Posts: 2462 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

I disagree, you would only need small enough equipment to decieve the human eye. With further exploration in nanotechnology this may be entirely feasible; however, it probably won't be very cost-effective as other electronic means would easily detect you. -------------------- Lt. I'm working with two professors and another student to try and understand Irreducible Quantum Entanglement and develop some new theory. So far the professors seem to be making some decent progress. -------------------- Lt. Sullust Cogito Ergo Sum Polaris Posts: 2462 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

Perhaps the cave worms spend most of their life in a dormant state in the soil. Every couple of centuries they wake up in mass to breed and then go back under. -------------------- Lt. Sullust Cogito Ergo Sum Polaris Posts: 2462 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

Space is finite and time is a man-made construct. However, this could be flawed. So I'll present a much more solid impossibility. It is impossible to write the normalized two-qubit state vector (1/Sqrt[2]){1,0,0,1} as the tensor product of two one-qubit state vectors. [ Tuesday, June 06, 2006 06:42: Message edited by: Lt. quote:As a mathematician(in training) I find this very disconcerting. I would much rather have a strict definition of green. And a strict definition of a leaf. Based on this I might then be able to determine whether a leaf is green or not. Whether or not I see a green leaf when I look at it is irrelevant.
