Same story as Alorael.

First game? Oh, I dunno. Some ancient Atari thing (my family's always been quite a bit behind the curve as far as games go)

Isn't there a setting with one's computer which allows one to invert mouse control for easier use for southpaws?

The Catholic Church's biggest problem in the middle ages was that it tried to be a political entity. Being a political entity in medieval Europe implied committing a severe atrocity here and there.

The only reason we hold this against them today is because there aren't any Rurikid tsars or Hohenzollern imperialists around nowadays.

This is what I love. You can and will whinge at people for failing to distinguish between an accent from London and an accent from Colchester, and yet the idea of people on opposite ends of half a continent having different accents from one another is simply inconcievable to you IMAGE(Spiderweb Software Boards To speak english or not to english speak veeri vel__2_files/tongue.gif)

And for your information, at least most of us don't eat our Rs and shorten all of our As. Very unsexy.

A factional RP based at the Lyceum, with great community interest so far. If you want to participate in this different and highly interesting sort of RP, come on in and establish a faction.

Idiots need not apply. See you there!

I just felt like dropping in:
If you need to justify a character trait by giving the character a corresponding weakness, don't bother giving that character that trait. You either end up with a disadvantage you don't want to work with or a horribly drawbridgish character.

Just a general RP rule there.

The ones that have been here since Spiderweb began in 1994 to the members who joined in 94, 95,96,97,98,99, is the first generation. and The members who have joined since then is the second generation. The first generation is mostly in there twenties and some in there thirties by now. And the second generation such as myself are mostly teenagers. Now by now alot of the first generation Spiderwebbers have left because now they have full time jobbs and professions they do not have the time to be here. Alot of the people on Spiderweb is now from the Second Generation, mostly teenagers. So Spiderweb has entered its second error, and so Spiderwebs history can now be broken up into two phases, The First Generation, (during the 90's) and The Second Generation(During the Thousands).
I actually came into the community pretty early (96?), and I'm certainly not in my 20s.
I also find 'the thousands' intensely clever, although I can't see why.

So Spiderweb has entered its second error

No, no. SW's second error was Geneforge 2.

1.1 Are gorillas the same as bears?

No. Gorillas are not the same as bears. Many people assume that there are no differences between them, or the differences are very subtle. While both make great pets and are often seen living together harmoniously, bears have different tax obligations than gorillas and gorillas tend to be generally different from bears. These differences lie in dissimilarity and the fact that they are not the same.

1.4 Are the noises I hear coming from my basement a bear?

Hard to tell from my perspective. Call a professional bear killer before attempting to shoo it out with a broom. Also, listen for bear noises or send your dog into the basement, wait a while for scuffles, then call your dog. If the dog returns it may or may not be a bear.

1.7 Are any states named after bears?

Actually, yes. Florida, Alaska, and America are all states named after bears. Did you know?: Europe was named after the European Bear.

2.4 Are any of my relatives bears?

If you yourself are a bear, then it is decidedly such that you do have bear relatives. In this case consult your local branch of the library to learn more about your family tree. If you are not a bear but still curious as to the answer to this question, talk to your relatives, as they may know. There is a chance you are related to a bear or many bears, though this varies among different families. A good hueristic for finding out on your own is observation. Try listening in on conversations: listen for loud grunts or "roars". Look for panic and fear of family members: look to sees if those in your family seem uneasy around certain other family members, or are constantly moving slowly while carrying fish and honey to appease the relative. Look for excessive hair or a black nose: this is a good hint to the nature of your relatives. Remember: Male and Female Pattern Baldness is not solely a human ailment, do not let this be a characteristic to lead you to believe falsities as to the nature of your uncle Ursus.

Yahoo Messenger does the same thing as ICQ apparently. I know for a fact that you can send and receive messages while offline and the other person will get them. Yahoo Messenger is very easy to use and has what I think are the best of the smiley faces of any messenger on the Internet. I have MSN Messenger, but don't really use it because I have only one contact on it that I also have on Yahoo Messenger and AOL Messenger. So, we don't usually talk on it.

Is there anyone here who uses MSN Messenger or Yahoo Messenger? For some reason, people on AOL can't use Yahoo Messenger unless they download Internet Explorer first. I find Netscape to be faster than Internet Explorer. It all depends on the computer really.

First: You make no damn sense.
Second: Who uses graphical smileys? IMAGE(Spiderweb Software Boards Question about Profiles_files/tongue.gif)
