WildKarrdeSmuggler. Quite old - I think he did something for the encyclopedia back in 2003 or early 2004. He went by "Smuggler's Alliance, Chief of the" for years, then changed to WikiSpidweb earlier this year. GF and GF2 got the chop. Officially, they were already gone (in the way Misc was "gone" before PPP1, except you could still post), and the only thing that got lost and didn't get saved in PPP3 are the hidden threads we made when we found the invisible forum. Why BoA editor was locked I cannot fathom. I don't want to think about it either. It gives me stomach pains. -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. This was my absolute nightmare in my stochastic course. I'm still not convinced my answer is wrong. My interpretation has always been that it doesn't matter: Regardless of which door you picked, the show master could have pulled this trick. And the prize door doesn't change either. -- Another question: Is your chance of winning this game 33%, or 50%? Edit: I'm almost convinced now. So apparently your chance is 66% if you switch, and 33% if you stay. It doesn't make any sense! I have to try this out... By level 30, I'd find that easy - and it can be said that I suck at combat. If it's a dungeon battle, reload and remember where you came across the drakes. Just before you're close enough so they can see you, enter combat mode. Haste and bless all your characters - bless each one 2-3 times. Then move in and take them out with damaging spells and arrows. If they still kick you around, do the above but summon some monsters as distraction. What you should avoid is getting all your characters close up so each of them can blast you on their turn. With 7 of them, you'd be dead after a few rounds. -------------------- Encyclopaedia • Archives • Members • RSS [Topic / Forum] • Blog • Polaris • NaNoWriMo Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair. quote:How lucky you can't ban people... ^_^ Meh, I guess it's all right. At least I got two whole lines in the closing scene, one of them even over 5 words long. I guess that makes up for the fact that there wasn't any mention of me even being in the closing scene apart from those two lines. Some deity you are, Diki. You ought to treat your cultists better than that. :P As for your review: "I read it to the end, then started again at the beginning. I needed to rinse the memory of the abrupt ending, see." But the shave would render me even more devoid of features. :P Egh. I had the choice between rectangular and octagonal glasses. I picked the latter. Well, they're still better than what I have now. -- Tyran: I'm familiar with the Theft of the Jewels story, I just wasn't sure if I'd gotten the names Ungoliant and Shelob mixed up. :P --- There's something missing. Where are all the girls? Only Dikiyoba posted so far. What is more, where are all the Spiderwebbers who nobody thought were girls until they posted their picture? Tradition dictates there should be at least one. Edit: I have taken your advice, Tyran, and finally purchased my own copy of the Silmarillion. It's been three years since I last read it in the school library. Of course this one can't compare - the library copy looked to be at least two decades old, this one is freshly printed. The content hasn't changed, however. :) [ Thursday, August 10, 2006 09:14: Message edited by: Drow ] -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. quote:I just turned 19, somewhat too young for wrinkles around the eyes :P Anyway, there'd be a good sig quote, if it weren't too long. At least I could use "Aran: Given live by the mysterious intercession of some Aryan loa" as a tagline. But I don't like the sound of the word Aryan. quote:I suppose a lightning-shaped scar would... oh right, forget that one. >_< Anyway, I'm scheduled to get new glasses this week. Ones that will be a little less obstrusive and circle-shaped - which is a part of the Harry Potter thing, I guess. They're octagonal. Pictures pending. GAH! I'm an arachnophobe. Okay, so that thing (Ungoliant?) barely looked like one, but I don't want to see it ever again. Anyway, I got my camera working and have a whole new album to show you. Don't say you weren't warned. August 2006 collection And a few of my favorite ones: An attempt at a time-triggered picture, but the shelf it was on got in the picture. The lighting was fixed with Picasa, so the colors look a bit artificial. I like my face better without glasses. Perhaps I'll try contacts... And lastly, well... -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. - This thread will change slightly less than the Ash Lael protest thread did, which is zilch-nada. Sorry, my bad. Meh, do I need to stay clear of the turtles all the time? That's a hard price to pay... -- Now that you reminded me, this topic doesn't look particularly savory. Unfortunately I haven't come up with a locking gimmick like sniper rifles, fluffy blades or Sailor Myung Moon, so it's just a dry, uninteresting lock.
