I finally, after fasting for three months in a cave, understand why Icshi has left us. He has not forsaken us; he has left us on our own to test our faith. Yes. One day, when we have made ourselves worthy, He will return and reward those who stood by Him even in His absence. Those who merely joined this cult for the glory will move on to greener pastures. Those who lack the proper commitment will be rooted our by us, the true believers, and be properly disposed of. So that we can ensure His return and display our dedication, I would therefore like to bring to order the first Inquisitionary Hearing! It will be presided over by a council of three: myself, Our White Lord's Exarch of Benevolent Love and Other Happy Things, Such as Kittens and Assorted Candies, as Well as the Occasional Holiday Bonus Paycheck, and Lord Patron Commander-Leader Person, and will be commenced with an invocaction of His Whiteness. But first we have to have everyone check in. So: check in. "Check in" as in pass the collection plate? or as in register our eternal ineptitude before the glorious one? I'll just roll out from under this handy bench. The Offical Story, as decided by a secret conclave of the People's Democratically Ordained Autocratic Cult Committee of Newly-Acquired Truths & Divinehoods: Icshi is dead. Long live Icshi. Forum 6,432,766,349,448,872,395,334,773 finally got him. As was prophesied. -------------------- I'll put a Spring in your step. Posts: 2396 | Registered: Saturday, January 29 2005 08:00 |

Okay, that's close enough. Although we will now begin the ceremony, I encourage passing cultists to continue to check in. Pater Albion noster, qui es in coelis, Sanctificetur nomen tuum. Adveniat regnum tuum. Fiat voluntas tua, Sicut in coelo et in terra. Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie. Et dimitte nobis debita nostra, Sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris. Et ne nos inducas in tentationem: Sed libera nos a malo. Amen. Okay, let's get right down to business. The first issue we must deal with is the heresy of Slartucer Tuckersworth, who renounced his beliefs in Richard White for a nonexistent and fanciful god, the Cow. This trial will be conducted in absentia, which basically means the proceedings will be even more of a farce than they already are. Slartucker Tuckersworth, you are accused of heresy and of worshiping a false god. How do you plead? .... Very well. Burn him at the stake! [Whisper]No, you fool, I don't know how we'll burn a person who isn't here. Just pretend he's invisible or something.[/Whisper] ... Okay, now that we've got that out of the way, I will ask for volunteers to explain why they shouldn't also be killed in horrifying ways. Don't be shy! -------------------- quote: Posts: 1115 | Registered: Sunday, May 15 2005 07:00 |

quote:That was on Wikipedia! (Well, except for the "Albion" part; I just added that and crossed my fingers) You don't really think you know better than Wikipedia, do you? Anyway, I'm thinking about canceling this whole thing. I know, you're all crushed. But I hope to replace it with something even better: the RWG RP! It would operate as a sort of mixed breed between this thread and a real RP. So tell me what ideas (if any) you like, whether you would participate, and so on. Your cancelling the inquisition? That's not fair - I had my fiery oratory all written up and was preparing to get martyred - all for nothing?! Gah. Theocracies can't be relied on these days. <_< -------------------- Encyclopaedia • Archives • Members • RSS [Topic / Forum] • Blog • Polaris • NaNoWriMo Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair. Supreme Overlord of the Underlords checking in and demanding the Inquisition continue. By the way, Icshi isn't missing. His whereabouts are simply on a don't-need-to-know basis. If you really must know where he is, then you can't. [ Wednesday, August 09, 2006 07:20: Message edited by: Archmage Alex ] -------------------- Take the Personality Test! quote:FYT Okay, fine. Go hold your little Inquisition. And if anyone loses an eye, it'll be your fault! Quite frankly, the reason I wanted an RP instead of this thread is because it's already a dizzying mix between "OOC" and "IC", as it were. But that doesn't mean that the main plot (and if you so wish, it can be an Inquisition) has to change if an RWG RP is started. Also, I was hoping that people would just sort of come along and declare themselves to hold the titles I mentioned in my first post. Those were not meant to be "NPCs". -------------------- quote: Posts: 1115 | Registered: Sunday, May 15 2005 07:00 |

Our White Lord's Exarch of Benevolent Love and Other Happy Things, Such as Kittens and Assorted Candies, as Well as the Occasional Holiday Bonus Paycheck checking in. As an inherent heretic among the over-faithful, however, a situation such as this involving a heretic such as myself in a position such as mine is bound to result in a sharp decline in kitten and assorted candy distribution. It goes without saying that the Cult had been able to find a new Exarch of Benevolent Love etc. etc. by the time the next Holiday is, will be, or has been. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon Polaris = joy.
