I've looked at a couple of offers and will go with Dreamhost.

Now the thing is that they offer a referral reward (quite a substantial one too), and so I want to ask if anyone here is taking part in the rewards program so I can enter their code.

Apparently, the promotion code system allows referrer and customer to share the 97$ commission (part of it counting as a discount for the new customer), and while I know there are many who give away the full 97$, I'd be quite happy with less if some Spiderwebber has already got a referral code. :)

Worst game possible: First round in Richard White Games

The problem: The game started off well. I solved one puzzle, and the game advanced me to the next one. There was even a walkthough I could refer to in case I got stuck. However, towards the end of the game, the game got split into seven or eight places I had go to via a teleporter. The teleporter sent me to a place randomly. This wouldn't have been a problem, except that the teleporter continued to send me to places I had already completed. By the time I was down to two or three places to visit, I was often using the teleportal five or six times before getting to one of them. Furthermore, the teleportation itself was annoying. It took several turns to get where I was going. Typing "wait" four turns in a row just isn't that interesting, and it's downright tedious the fifteenth time I had to do it. After realizing that I had spent over ten minutes teleporting without getting to a single new place, I gave up. The game should have just teleported me to places in a set order. It would have been a lot less frustrating.

Dikiyoba's rating: Random and extreme frustration.

Random and extreme frustration is pretty much the point of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy game though (that's what you were playing). Oh, and using the teleporter with real tea instead of ATS (advanced tea substitute) shortens the waiting period to one round, and allows you to re-teleport simply by typing "wait" again. Which conveniently saves you from teleporting into the head of your future self, leading to your own messy death in five minutes.

Nonetheless, I wouldn't play it aqgain. For the reasons quoted.

Having to struggle just to look death in the face: priceless.

Since the Bugblatter Beast believes that if you can't see it, it can't see you, turning around to look at it is actually not such a good idea. ;)

I can't tell how much of it is a joke. From the assumption that they are serious, I have two comments: Firstly, they are entirely right in saying that Google is the closest that any entity we know to exist has ever come to omniscience/omnipresence. Secondly, they are entirely delusional about their idea of "worship". Worshipping Google in the way of traditional religions makes about as much sense as believing in Einstein's relativity theory as a religious principle. Having "blind faith" in science is as deluded as trying to "prove" religion.

But I'm probably just ruining the joke. :P

Edit: Speaking of religion, did you know that the Vatican State has its own top level domain, .va? I didn't. (They also have a badly coded - though admittedly nicely designed - online presence, so that point is for Google. :P )

Tyran, taking that account was not necessarily a good idea. Now you're channeling her.

I'll be lazy and only post the answers. That leaves you the fun of matching questions with answers. Think: "Have a bf/gf?" - "19". Haha.

19.
Something around 180 cm. If you want to convert it to that silly things you Americans aren't even officially using (supposedly), use Google.
Hair: The one with all the jokes (ie, blond)
Eyes: Somewhere between green and grey.

- No tattoo. Do birthmarks count?
- Nah. Body modification doesn't sound that appealing.
- A few unfortunate crushes, nothing else.
- A lot.
- Edit: Forgot this one. But given what you know about me, the answer should be obvious.

- Does World Domination count?
- No. (Yes!) No.
- My current obsession is valid XHTML. Relatively benign, but easy to be anal about.

- Black jeans, different colored socks (brown and white), a blue-green, short-sleeved shirt.
- Awake and alert and productive, thanks to sleeping in and a nice cup of coffee.
- Howard Shore (Return of the King) / E Nomine (Schwarze Sonne). Odd mixture, yes.
- The heightened state of entropy in my room.
- I should be on the train to my parents by now.

- H2O, from the tap. But I drink buttermilk, coke (not that kind of coke) and coffee, in decreasing frequency.
- Yellow. Bright and cheerful.
- Anything with milk chocolate or nougat. Recently, real coffee beans dipped in chocolate. Within limits.
- Lord of the Rings
- That's why I hang around at Spiderweb.

- Subway any day.
- Cola. Or Pepsi. Doesn't matter.
- Thunder, lightning and rain.
- Fall. September.
- Difficult. Late Summer. Early Winter.
- Cinnamon.
- Off.

This is suboptimal as well, unless your objective was to have an angry mod come after you with a shotgun.

Professor Arancaytar suddenly appears to come out of a daze.

"Wha.... where am I?" he stammers as le looks around at the unfamiliar surroundings, then down at his lab coat.

Suddenly, he realizes his worst nightmare has come true: He's been kidnapped, hypnotized and made to play an NPC role in some imbecile roleplay.

"I'LL HAVE MY REVENGE ON YOU, ORDER MAGE!" he hollers, even as the two would-be Pokemon trainers (aka morons) and their charges look on in horror. "I'LL SMITE YOU WITH THE AWFUL WRATH OF CTHULHU!"

He begins to chant. "IÄ! IÄ! PHNGLUI MGLW'NAFH CTH--- awscrewit," he trails off. "Let's do this quickly."

And all of a sudden, the party's over. :)

So did I get this right: When you select "Accept all cookies", the cookies are somehow dropped, and when you select "Ask for each cookie" it works?

Have you tried configuring Panda differently? Perhaps it has some kind of option saying "Ignore all cookies" or similar. If not, you might want to try a different virus scanner.

I myself am using AntiVir, which has a free, fully functional version for personal use (although it keeps reminding you to please upgrade to the commercial version).
