Hey, I have a problem. I have this new panda antivirus (evaluation copy) and always when i surf the internet and try to look at my (yahoo) mail or my (spiderweb) profile it says that i'm not logged in... BUT I AM! It says it's got something to do with cookies (i'm using opera 9.0), although i have it set to accept all of them. And when i set that it has to inform me of the cookies then i have to click to accept everyone, but it works. The other remedy is to turn panda off, of course. Well, i know that these two things work, but still they are quite obviously pathetic. It gets really boring very quickly to click accept for EVERY cookie, and furthermore my fingers will get worn before i'm 30 if i keep it up. And disabling panda everytime i go online is also nonsense, coz yo need it when on the net, right? So does anyone have any experience whatsoever? Please! Oh, and I'm using Win 98 SE. And when i try working online with IE 6.0 it's the same story, so it's not a panda/opera issue as i deducted. -------------------- I don't care what you say, I'm punk and Hardcore all the way! So did I get this right: When you select "Accept all cookies", the cookies are somehow dropped, and when you select "Ask for each cookie" it works? Have you tried configuring Panda differently? Perhaps it has some kind of option saying "Ignore all cookies" or similar. If not, you might want to try a different virus scanner. I myself am using AntiVir, which has a free, fully functional version for personal use (although it keeps reminding you to please upgrade to the commercial version). Another idea is to configure I.E. to accept all cookies. There should be an option when you right click IE to accept them all, if I remember correctly... Even though I use AOL, IE settings somehow take precedence...(sp?) -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? Panda just sucks!! It just mess up with everything! Every single connection is blocked by the stupid bear!! And IE is just worst, is so unsafe, install Firefox instead. Personally I use Norton 2004 wich is fine, but the 2005 version is well very safe but as annoying as panda, considering that I have a realtively slow computer is a huge problem...my pc takes ages to load all the modules of the antivirus!! Get a... Never mind. —Alorael, who couldn't quite resist. He tried very hard and almost managed to, and then the words just leapt from his fingers onto his keyboard before he could stifle them. That's his story and he's sticking to it. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |
