Alec, like TM and Djur, follows the "if you have nothing bad to say, don't say anything" rationale. There's a reason the Desperance Scenario Reviews rank their subjects on a negative scale - 0 is the best. So yes, if your writing is good (which yours is), silence is the best you can hope for. -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. If you have an iCal or XML-based calendar (such as Google Calendar), you can subscribe to this calendar. Otherwise, you can also look at the web page (times there are in EDT, -0400 UTC): http://www.google.com/calendar/... I'd be especially glad if Tyran could check it and verify that the day for the second one is correct. You didn't state any day, so I assume it is the next midday after the first chat. iCal is here: http://www.google.com/calendar/ical/ifnbi10s5vbjtdgqmt2b66raso@group. calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics And XML here: http://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/ifnbi10s5vbjtdgqmt2b66raso@group.ca lendar.google.com/public/basic [ Tuesday, September 19, 2006 04:56: Message edited by: Drow ] -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. Somehow this has drifted implicitly toward poetry. So I'd like to post a reminder that if you have visual art or prose to share, that can go in here too... I haven't been productive lately. Productive = "have written a single creative word" and lately = "the last couple of months". So for now I'll dredge something up from my collection, and later try to write something new (a Mountain of Shadows post'd be favorite). Which I posted here before. It's not much to look at either, in the "making-sense" department. I wrote it in the train while on caffeine and some sleep deprivation. Those factors produce strangeness. quote: -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast. In an amazing twist of cosmic humor, that was actually the first 365tomorrows story I ever read. I found it through Google. Why? Because at the rate we're going, the board will be stone-dead this time next year. It's not even cyclical - the decline has lasted most of the year. I. Joining Rate 106 members have registered. This number is higher than last month. Savour it - it's the only one. The reason is probably to be found in the high number of banned members. 28 new members have actually posted. Is "investment" a euphemism? I mean, I like reading Pratchett's books, but I don't read any of them more than, say, once or twice a year. I am now suffering from emoticon poisoning. And you spelled "da ist nichts zu machen" wrong. :P What do you mean by inspiring? If I am suffering from writer's block or need some ideas, I usually go on bicycle rides or take walks after midnight (thunderstorms are favorite). Sometimes I listen to music like the soundtrack of Riven, Brahms' Hungarian Dances or Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Also, for some reason I am a lot more creative on train rides. But that doesn't work if I feel under pressure - so I couldn't deliberately go on a train and suddenly find inspiration. -------------------- Encyclopaedia Ermariana • Forum Archives • Forum Statistics • RSS [Topic / Forum] My Blog • Polaris • I eat novels for breakfast.
