I really doubt it. Most likely, only the floor and terrain get imported from the town set as the outdoor fight area - scripts and other paraphernalia don't. But since I'm testing anyway...

You just somehow managed to remove all the file extensions before uploading. I'm not sure how this was accomplished. What FTP client and Operating System are you using?

rename 's/$/.bmp/g' * has done the trick. Your graphics are now visible under the normal file names.

Why indeed...

Because Macs are expensive, and Windows XP has a negative stigma attached to it, so making Windows look like Mac makes you cooler while saving money? :P

Meh, I'v only heard of Linux being disguised as Windows to ease the transition.

I checked my transfer backups, but it seems the files were deleted before the backup was made, since they're not in there.

Rakshasi is always welcome to re-upload them, although given the nature of this webspace, the fact remains that anyone with access can delete them.

I can PM you the access details if you don't know them anymore.

Your video is more than twice as long as its actual content, which likely wastes a lot of space and download time.

I really wish you'd fix that, since the space and traffic being wasted are, in fact, mine. :P

And that mobile phones may be to blame. I can't quite see the connection, though, when mobile phones have been around for decades, and this CCD has just shown up, at least massively, this year. Unless all the beekeepers got together at a convention last year and decided to use their cellphones while they worked.

'Spreading' indicates that it's something that can be caught and passed on, if the article used that term correctly.

Whatever it is, the bees know something we don't, and if they're really smart, they're doing it on purpose to trim down the human population and set the stage for their eventual world domination.

Then I, for one, welcome our newly extinct bee overlords.

Oh dear gods, I read too much Slashdot.

According to him, he entered it, but sent it 41 minutes late and to the wrong address, bihrno instead of the contest box.

So I guess I'm Spartacus too.

This is my first contest and it really means a lot to me, so this didn't come easily. But I realize that the whole thing will be tarnished in my eyes if overshadowed by such a ridiculous technicality.

Especially when I just got a break myself.

It wasn't a typo. Writing (10,1) instead of (2,6) is not a "typo", it's a bloody bug caused by last-minute messing without taking into account all the consequences. On its own, that flag is the most trivial error you could imagine, but if you see it in context, it's just not fair that I get to make this adjustment and Settlers and Bonus Army are disqualified for 41 minutes and the wrong email address.

Alec keeps him locked in his basement and forces him to stay here. No posts = No food. Now you know why he's way up the top ten.

1. A3 didn't work on my PC.

2. My current name: A way of poking fun at my own over-inflated ambition. Other than that, I changed because it's fashionable, but don't do so these days.

3. Who are you?

--

Also, I had initially thought that there was only one thing more sad then replying in pointless topics like this to kill time, and that was to start topics like this to kill time.

I have been proven wrong:

quote:

2. If you did, why did you change your name?

3. Have you even noticed that I changed mine (besides now)?

quote:

I might as well reply.
1. I clicked on forums and thought "interesting"

2. I am in an airplane

3. No

Starting and replying to your own topics must surely surpass them all.

So? Yes, you can make a case about Windows users being idiots who know better but don't act on it. But you can also argue Windows users are less deluded about how much their OS sucks. :P

I use XP. I love Linux (all of them, though I have a special liking for Debian as well as Fedora). I basically ignore Mac. I despise Vista and 95 with all my heart.

Express Delivery was sent to the judges of the 1/10 contest last night. It can already be downloaded publically, as well. The database has it, and it's on my site here:

http://ermarian.net/downloads/blades/express-delivery/

(Note: The location of the beta versions has changed - they're below this under beta/ now - but it's still protected)

A nice page with screenshots and description is pending.

Edit: An index page has been added at this place that contains neat descriptions, a making-of, credits and (soon) screenshots.

Oh, and of course links to download the scenario.

I'd recommend wget too. The only reason PPP uses a lot more fancy stuff than just a bunch of files downloaded with wget is to count, format and properly link those posts. In fact, the next PPP run will likely be done with wget as well, processing the files for the database afterwards.
