And that mobile phones may be to blame. I can't quite see the connection, though, when mobile phones have been around for decades, and this CCD has just shown up, at least massively, this year. Unless all the beekeepers got together at a convention last year and decided to use their cellphones while they worked.

'Spreading' indicates that it's something that can be caught and passed on, if the article used that term correctly.

Whatever it is, the bees know something we don't, and if they're really smart, they're doing it on purpose to trim down the human population and set the stage for their eventual world domination.
