Inside the bunker... Rey thinks and then starts to speak. "You might as well throw that map into the fire." "WHY?" Eferas asked. "Once you enter the maze, you should be close enough to the fire that it will heat up! Since mazes take time, it would be too hot to survive by the time we got to the end. Our only hope is to run through the walls." Rey stands right inside the maze, and sure enough, the fire senses him and it starts to heat up. He walks out of the entrance and the fire no longer senses him and it cools down. "We could just run through, or find a way to hide from the fire, or find a way to extinguish the fire." Rey says. "I suggest we either run though or find a way to hide from it...or we could somehow blind the fire..." "Let me try something..." Rey said. He walked to the front of the group, put down his shield, took of his glove, and stuck his pinky in the fire. "It's...not as hot as I expected..." Suddenly, the fire that Rey's pinky touched grew hotter and hotter. "YOW!" Rey quickly pulled his pinky out, and the fire cooled off to it's original temperature. "Either it's not as strong as it used to be, or it was meant to punish those who thought they could run through it. Or...at least that's what I think." Rey said while thinking. "Well...we could run through it and hope to survive, or we could try to go through it. But if the magic's weak..." Rey thought further. He put his glove back on and picked up his shield and put it in front of him. If your mages are good enough at that spell, it can unlock normal doors. My group of mages/minor priests each have a mage skill of 6, and 10 intellegence, the Natural Mage trait, and their Unlock spells affect normal locked doors. Though I doubt they need ALL that skill to use it to unlock normal doors. But it's 15 SP cost is too much :( . "Uhhhhh...." Rey tries to think of a way to bandage his hand using only one hand. He puts down his shield and drops his sword. He takes some of the bandage, holding the free end with his teeth, then uses his sword to cut a strip of bandage out. "Now comes the difficult part." He says. "DIE FIEND!" Rey shouted as he thrusted his blade into one of the dark shapes. It dissolved into a cloud of black smoke. "They aren't real! They're just-" Rey heard Hispar shout before his message was cut short. "They're just what?" Rey wondered. His pondering was cut short when one of the black shapes hit him in the head. There were scratch marks on the back of his helmet now. Rey spinned around and the black shape got a taste of Rey's sword. It dissolved. "I'm pretty sure they're just illusions now." He said. He jumped back just in time to dodge one of the black shape's attack. But he jumped right into teh path of another's attack. "AAGGHHH!!!!" Rey dropped his longsword. His right hand was too hurt from the claws to hold anything. Rey rammed his shield into the black shape to get revenge. The black shape dissolved. "Now what am I going to do? I'm right handed!" He had a very worried look on his face as a black shape charged at him. He hid behind his shield...and ran. He was on the edge of the battlefield, keeping an eye out for any threats. Rey watches the back of the group. He keeps a sharp eye out for any danger. Rey stretches and yawns. He then realizes he fell slightly behind by doing so. He quickly catches up to the group. Then he hears someone say "Dang" nearby in the forest. "We are not alone!" Rey then says. OOC: Here is my character: Name: Rey Class: Swordsman Height: 6" 2 Equipment: Boots, pants, studded armor,a metal helmet, a large shield, metal gauntlets, and a longsword. Skills: He is good with the sword and has quick reflexes Advantages: He has quick reflexes, and he is also quick. Disadvantages: He isn't very strong despite being a swordsman, and he's impatient. Description: Because he isn't very strong for a swordsman, he always used his quickness to his advantage. Where other strong swordsman could only strike once, he's managed to be able to strike TWICE. But that's not always the case. Because of his quickness, armies have always used him as a scout. But he could fight alone in light combat. But don't rely on him in heavy combat. He often flees when only he's up against heavily armored soldiers. He always does things quickly, and he doesn't really like it if someone does something slow. IC: Rey was traveling with a group of adventurers into the Valley of Thunder. No conversations were taking place at the moment. Time seemed to slow down. This is boring. I waonder how much farther we have to travel.Then they arrived at the Valley. Wow. That's kind of breathtaking. He thought. He looked in the distance and he could see some volcanoes smoke. Perhaps that's where we're going. Either way, we'll have to go through some forests. I wonder what lies ahead. I wonder ifI'll do any scouting like I usually do. OOC: Oops, I forgot his height. When I use first aid, it says something like Use first Aid: On who? Click on portrait(or hit "1-6") Shouldn't it be 1-4? I'm using the windows version.
