Wow. Well, try almost any RPG at your local Best Buy or something. Anything (pretty much) from Bioware. I'd consider them the best. Baulder's Gate, Icewind Dale, all the greats. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

I agree with Drakey. It's an important feature that I doubt Jeff would have over-looked. Also didn't he mention that a LONG time ago? Or I am just imagining things? -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

Ok. I trust you enough. While I'm asking questions... should I dump my girlfriend and go after this other girl or just stay with my girl? (shameless off topic-ness, I know. But I got problems) -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

Brett, whadaya think? Should I finish my BOA graphics so I can submit them to you, or should I finish my ES3:Morrowind plugin? I only have time for one... -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

Wow... there was absolutly no need to revive this topic... But just since you did, I'll give my opinion to this Hell-hole. Rock? No. Techo? No. Rap? No. Cheap midi-produced Zelda sounding music? Yes. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

Hmm... good ol' D&D. So you're wanting a scenario with D&D monsters, items, and plots? I could work on that, but don't expect it to be too elaborate. Perhaps someone else should make one, too. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

Not just you. I enjoy the refreshing singleton-run every once and a while. I just feel that it's more... uh... realistic? to have a group conquering mass evil rather than a single person. But then again... Superman... -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

*Him!* Yea my site definitly has to wait for BOA's release before anything can really be done. I have a few of my own graphics I'll put up eventually, but as of right now I haven't much drive to add them. Also custom scripts are something I personally didn't think about, and ARE something we'll be making a lot of. Good job on realizing that. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! My BOE/other Exile party always consists of: 2 fighters, 1 archer, 2 mages, 1 priest They all turn out good, so I don't worry about deaths and such. More on subject, we need Exile damage bases back... -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

Yea, combat never was too exciting in the Exile/Avernum games. Well... exciting as in fast-paced, hectic, and chaotic. I admit to getting excited sometimes, in hard fights. But now my A3 party is too strong to have any challenge. Even when I left the others behind and went singleton, he still kicked everyone squarly in the arse. A2 combat systems are warm welcomed by me... -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

As I understand it: when you make a new monster, you can apply a script to it. Then, every time you plant that monster, it has that script. If you wanted to have the same (pretty much) monster, but a different script, you would make a new monster, but make it almost identical to the first one. That's one thought. The other is that you have monsters, then you right-click or something on them and bring up an info screen of just that monster. There you would be able to change it's simple stuff, and also apply scripts to that specific monster. These are my ideas on how the scripting of monsters will work, but they are probably wrong. Maybe Jeff can tell us? -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

I would consider him not so much 'legal guardian', but more of a right-hand man. A "Royal Advisor" if you will. Also, demonology would definatly be his leading cause of insanity. Hell... look at Linda... -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |

Hmm... I don't feel as if I made a big deal. I don't know any of you, therefore you all mean nothing to me. Sorry if it came off a "big-deal". And does anyone care to explain to me how triple posting works, considering I only pressed ADD REPLY once? (On topic) I'm sure if that would be entirely useful, considering that you normally either beat the crap out of him or barely do anything with the first hit. I suppose this would have room for say a boss, but otherwise it's just not worth going through the programming trials it would take. Just make him heal himself when he feels he needs to, a default reaction I believe. -------------------- DEMON PLAY, DEMON OUT! Posts: 1582 | Registered: Wednesday, November 13 2002 08:00 |
